Message added by Grumpy Owl,

This topic is for all general discussion regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic. There are of course numerous other related topics for discussing specific aspects of this pandemic in more detail. And there are other parts of this forum for more 'off-topic' discussions.

On Friday last week i actually got inside my doctors surgery maskless to have some blood taken and apart from being greeted by the practice nurse looking as if she was dealing with an Ebola outbreak ,scrubs on,face mask shield blah blah all wnt swimmingly and not a mention once of the jab, yesterday i had to go back and actually got to see in person and up close one of the new threatened species,an actual doctor, admittdley he was dressed as if i had ebola and wonder of wonders he didn't mention the jab once either ,he did warn me that the chest xrays he was urgently requesting for me might show something rather more serious than a seasonal dose of coughs and sniffles but thats neither here nor there (i do smoke 40 fags a day, cancers pretty inevitable)

Now i'm left in a quandry and feel left out as he didn't try to get me jabbed, whats wrong with the man ? is my 12pound 50pence not as good as anyone elses? he obviously knows i've ignored every communication from the practice and i was armed and ready with a whole host of facts and figures and accusations of being part of the genocide for him and he pissed on my fireworks by not giving me even a slim chance at using them

Are we seeing a slow return to doctors doing what they were once paid for ? or have they,as i suspect, farmed it out to people far less qualified and paid far less whilst being far more 'disposable' and more easily thrown under busses with no loss of expensive medical training ?

Re the Mail article earlier about the 42-year-old man who supposedly died of Covid and wished he'd been vaccinated etc.

I notice that the article originally made no mention that the man had asthma. It was archived:

Earlier: https://archive.ph/klEvg

Now: https://archive.ph/pSrcr

Later it was quietly changed. Comments are premoderated so nobody can point out the deception. Also the sister's twitter page spreads this same disinformation where she says he has NO underlying conditions and does not mention he had asthma. It is not possible to reply and point out the untruth.

Same here basically. I am sceptical of Covid. I have not been jabbed and don't intend to be. I do wear a mask in shops which ask their customers to do so though, ie. the supermarket. Simply to blend in better. Now, you or others may disapprove and that's fine, but sometimes it's better to pick your battles I think.

You must do what you believe is right for you.  I have no place telling other people what to do, still less can I judge others.  For myself, I always claim to be exempt, if asked.  I accept that, in a way, this makes me compliant with the overarching regime as well, but I will use that tactic to avoid fuller compliance.

I think we will all have to make considered compromises along the way.

You could always pull that face at children and warn them that having the vaccine made you like that, might put a few off

Now THAT'S a resistance tactic.

Imagine the fear this will put into the hearts of the enemy...

Either way, it is being used to shock people into getting the jabs. Like, wow if this totally healthy fit bloke died, what chance have I got. I can almost guarantee there are middle aged men right now making an appointment after reading that, either because they decided to or their wife told them to I guess.

I know obese people who went through this 'pandemic' with asthma and are fine... People in my family had 'it' and survived with obesity, high blood pressure and diabetes... I see these ventilators evolving...

Ben on Twitter: "This is the prototype...… "

Well... I was fit and caught pneumonia several years ago, spent a week in hospital and had 'long' side effects for a month. Same our young, fit neighbour... It's not new thing that people getting sick, sometimes dying. It sucks but this is how life is... Good reason to size the day - not to lock yourself to save the day - cos every day could be the last day... People forgot it after 2019... 🙄

You only have to invoke Churchill and the wartime spirit, then the average Brit does your bidding.

These knobheads need to stop using the war as a weapon against us, they just push people further to the right. Those that fought in them days often hated Commies as well as NatSocs.

So as news of this Patrick King business propagates on the web, I see the narrative he is spinning is not standing up to much scrutiny. Why anyone here should be surprised by this, I don't know. He is misrepresenting what happened in court and the significance of it (or lack thereof).

Also

Quote

...it appears that there are two unrelated events that are being tied together as causation. I.e. someone in court mentions covid isolation (untrue and no indication they won the case) and Alberta remove covid measures. These two things aren’t related. For example, I could do a rain dance and then if it rains later I could infer that my dance caused the rain.

Exactly the point I was trying to make earlier.

What likely happened, he won his case on a technicality or because the prosecution didn't do its homework or probably more likely, decided it wasn't worth the hassle to comply with his demand so he won by default. The idea he has 'proven' that Covid is a 'hoax' is bollocks. As is the notion that restrictions are being lifted because of what he did.

I just want you to be honest with yourselves. Your protests don't accomplish the very things you chant for, your awareness does nothing to change their progress and your unity will fall apart the moment actual force is used against you.

That's why they don't take you seriously. That's why the media ignores you unless there's fights. You're doing more damage than good. Maybe one day you'll all realise, those who can't adapt will suffer.

As I relative newbie here, I must say I do respect your posts and thoughts.

may I ask, what advice would you give to a guy with two young kids, and nearly £500K equity in property, living just outside west London.
thanks in advance 😇

My advice would be not to take advice from him. 👍
