Gemma is a thirty-something primary school teacher, she was vaccine hesitant because rather than getting her information from official government sources, she got caught up in the web of disinformation on social networks, promoted by conspiracy theorists. Such as, covid is not real, or the vaccines are dangerous and a genocidal plot by a Jewish Cabal. All Gemma’s friends thought she was crazy and began to avoid her like the plague. Her work colleagues, who had all done the right thing, rolled up their sleeves, twice… and got double-vaxxed, decided to celebrate their “freedom” with a house party. They invited Gemma and a good time was had by all, until…after the event they all tested positive for covid. Gemma had infected them with the Delta variant and they were all forced to self-isolate, although they had no symptoms, and the school had to shut for a week. Gemma however, is now in intensive care on a respirator and regrets her stupidity. She is urging everyone to report conspiracy theorists to the authorities and wishes she had taken that jab!
