Understand now why you stated that - the stream I had did not get cut off so that is why I was able to see that the German doctor stated speaking then the POLICE seemed to CAUSE the stoppage.

BUT at least this day has got more coverage and perhaps more sheeple will wake up. By the way the Steam I was on was Tyrant Finder UK.

Just the opposite sadly......the sheeple will watch their MSM  tonight (that unknown to them is owned by the same people taking away their freedoms) and say "Just look at those nutters"

We're fucked.

I disagree on the music front. Not many bands have more than one good album, whether they're commercial or underground. In terms of hip hop, that died when sampling became more difficult and unless you can pay the royalties like Dre, then coming up with original beats is hugely difficult. Then add in the fact the most music is digitally made and therefore there is no groove to what is being played.

I'm not sure where I read this, but I believe every chord that there is to play has been played. That's some task for any aspiring musician to be original and individual. How many bands get compared to those of old?

Unfortunately, there will always be an influence from a previous band, artist etc. But originality is lost, generic crap is what we have. I'm bang into music and lost touch with the likes indie music, hip hop etc because the direction it went in was crap. What is hip hop now? Grime shite and uninspiring, gangsta wannabes. I've stuck to dance music, true underground music and techno has never been commercial so it's kept its innocence.

Nah absolutely not for me sorry, original beats aren't that hard to make if you educate yourself on production, sample clearing is an issue but there's plenty of great hip hop producers and rappers still doing their thing. Danny Brown, Freddie Gibbs, Madlib, the Alchemist... all thought provoking artistic guys and not far off the mainstream.

Rock is a bit of a dead genre I'll admit, and one of my favourite bands (and few surviving rock groups still making serious music) Queens of the Stone Age made an album a couple of years ago produced by Mark Ronson. Was awful, sounds like it's being played inside a tin can, so I see your point about production being overly clean and compressed.

Yeah of course every chord has been played, it has been for a very long time, if you know anything about music theory that's pretty obvious. What's more interesting is stuff like microtonal music that opens up new avenues, but very few Western bands have done much with that, maybe the Beatles a tiny bit after their visit to India.

Anyway to not get completely off topic... Will be interesting to see if anyone dares put out music regarding the lockdown. So far Ian Brown and Van Morris son seem to be the only ones brave enough, although Brownies song was a bit shite musically I have to admit.

Anyway, I'm sure people are getting annoyed by the music discussion. I might make a music thread later where we can discuss the music industry and who runs it. Back to the rona.

Yes, please make another thread for that. When it goes off topic like that, I wonder if it's deliberate.

Looks Like Vitamin D is starting to get the coverage it deserves:

https://inews.co.uk/news/analysis/vitamin-d-and-coronavirus-calls-revisit-advice-explained-hormones-rickets-flu-662202/amp

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-8694439/amp/Study-finds-60-higher-rates-COVID-19-people-low-levels-sunshine-vitamin.html

Whilst COVID is clearly being played as cover for a backdoor banking bailout, I do believe the reason for the spread of this relatively minor cold like illness and why a few get very ill is more linked to overall health and in a large part Vitamin D deficiency.

Of course, a simple Vitamin (which is actually a hormone, so therefore more powerful) isn't what the pharmaceutical lobby want.

But anyway, now we know Vitamin D would significantly have lowered the number of more severe cases, it does beg the question of why all the masks. The problem is not healthy people with health immune systems.....the issue is the immunity slackers...... these are the people who should be locked down or indeed locked out so they get some sunshine!!!

As I see it, all the deaths that have actually been from COVID (a minor flu like illness) are caused by  people who have not looked after their immune systems. These walking petri dishes are the ones who get sick, and then their enfeebled immune systems then allow the disease to run rampant producing billions more viruses and perhaps counting for a few of the physician deaths due to abnormal high viral loads.

It really is time people take some responsibility for themselves, and the Government really out to be saying eat dairy, fish etc and take supplements if needed, and make sure you get out and get some sun.

If people refuse to do this, let's label them immunity slackers and let them damn themselves. No one else should be locked down, locked in their halls at University or forced to wear a mask!

I agree completely. And the beauty of Vitamin D is that you don't need to take any pills, you just need to get out into the sunlight! 🌞

The human body produces Vitamin D naturally, when cholestorol reacts to UV rays from the sun. (Or something along those lines)

Hence why we have a 'war on cholestorol' and the push to keep people locked indoors out of the sun.

Also why people are encouraged to plaster themselves in sun-cream - another way of 'blocking' the UV rays from interacting with our bodies.

Get out and get skin cancer?

🤔

I have seen it argued that it is the suncreams and sunblock lotions that cause skin cancer, not exposure to the sun.

I rarely use the stuff myself.

Kim-Jong-Sturgeon, the autocratic ruler of Scotland said she sent students back to university because they “deserve a sense of normality” and the "whole campus experience.” Which is, attending classes during the day, meeting other students and lecturers, visiting new friends in the halls of residence and heading for the bars and clubs in the evenening.

What did they get? Imprisoned!

Hundreds of students isolating at Glasgow University because of two coronavirus clusters were warned if they socialise with anyone outside of their accomodation or household they risk losing their place at university. They are also forbidden from going to pubs, parties or restaurants.

Universities have now pledged to make it "absolutely clear" to students that there must be no parties and that any breaches of the new rules "will not be tolerated."

Students at Manchester Met said they were getting ready to go out on Friday night when they looked outside to see security guards and police, who told them they could not leave."We had eight hours to go to get food to last us for two weeks."

First-year student Joe Barnes said, "It's left morale at my flat pretty low. To put it into perspective, we have just had what should have been our freshers' week. We should have been going out making the most of it. Now we are stuck inside for another two weeks, after isolating for a week already, because a couple of people in our flat have caught the virus."

However they have been criticised by the National Union of Students Scotland as "unjustified"and "deeply concerning". President Matt Crilly said it was especially concerning for students who relied on income from hospitality jobs, and showed "complete disregard" for their mental health and wellbeing. Mary Senior, of the University and College Union, said she was "absolutely astounded" by the announcement, saying the outbreaks were "inevitable".

Singling students out for exclusive treatment is an infringement of the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. Namely, the right to liberty and security, the right to respect for private and family life, the prohibition of discrimination, the right to education and freedom of movement. Everyone who has been the victim of arrest or detention in contravention of the provisions of this Article shall have an enforceable right to compensation.

I screenshot this from the BBC News website, as the linked article does not include the same text as here:

While I feel sorry for these students 'locked-down' in their accomodations, do they really have no idea of how to 'do washing' or 'get food'?

I thought university was for the 'best and brightest' students?

First of all for how to 'get food' I'm sure "there's an app for that" 😁

You know, like Just Eat or Uber Eats, and grocery shopping apps.

As for 'how to do washing', presumably they still have acccess to some kind of washing machine or laundry facility. Did mommy and daddy not show them how to use a washing machine then? Or in the absence of any washing machine, how to 'hand-wash' in a sink?

Is it just me or is this generation of students the most pathetic that we have?
