Message added by Grumpy Owl,

This topic is for all general discussion regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic. There are of course numerous other related topics for discussing specific aspects of this pandemic in more detail. And there are other parts of this forum for more 'off-topic' discussions.

Here where I live in Canada, moose season just started this morning and the government orders are that moose have to keep their 2m distance from hunters because of the scamdemic. I even seen a couple moose going with  masks on, obviously they never logged in on DI forum... 🤣

Anyway, I know of a few hunters that will have a hard time to bag their limits this year...  😵

Don't mess with the moose🙂

The only explanation for this now that I can see, especially given the way Boris, Vallance, Whitty, etc can appear so solemn (and it applies to govts worldwide) as they ruin the lives of everyone is that they've been warned by the real characters in charge that if they don't comply, a genuine virus will be unleashed (as Billy boy warned in summer with a smirk). It's difficult to see another reason for this lunacy. Back in March Boris wanted to go with herd immunity for Christ's sake yet he's now cowering under a spike in testing.

This is not a valid excuse.  If this were true, why not tell us?  "Bill Gates has threatened to release a 'real' virus if we don't lock down the country".  People would listen, and he has the biggest platform in the country to get the word out.

It's going to be mandatory in Andalucia for people over 65. My mother is 87 years. She has never had influenza, nor the vaccine. She doesn't want the jab.

I'm foreseeing a battle with the medical establishment. They can't pin her down and give her the vaccine, but I'm sure they'll sanction her in another way, i.e.

take away State medical care, making her pay for private care.

https://www.theolivepress.es/spain-news/2020/04/22/flu-vaccinations-will-be-mandatory-for-pensioners-in-spains-andalucia-this-year-as-health-bosses-fear-a-complicated-winter-due-to-coronavirus/

"There were 95,834 mild cases of flu in the region last year with 4,080 hospitalisations. Some 1,416 of cases were severe, of which 49% had not been vaccinated."

So 51% of the severe cases had been vaccinated.

Also his "testing dream" is Israeli tech most likely. They have a device where you breathe into it and the can see what conditions/ailments affect your lungs.

Prince Charles, Israel visit Jan 2020

Professor at Technion – Israel Institute of Technology – who specialises in nanotechnology applications in medicine.

He had brought a prototype of his Sniff Phone – which analyses a persons breath to detect a range of

illnesses.

Professor Haick told Charles, as the engineer and scientist held the device, slightly larger than a mobile phone: “Every disease has a unique finger print of chemicals.

“It analyses breath and detect 17 different types of disease from cancers to neuro-degenerative diseases.”

NHS is basically an Israeli company now so it wouldn't be a stretch to say that the tests British Gestapo roll out, is Israeli technology.

Waiting for the Belt & Road are we Alexander D'Pfeffel? You make me sick.

I enjoy giving a thumbs down to all the videos from the World Economic Forum.

I haven't listened to all of this video, but Lydie Hudson, Chief Executive Officer, Sustainability, Research and Investment Solutions at Credit Suisse Bank

is saying the world on the whole is already in a DEEP RECESSION and the recovery will take longer than the financial robbery in 2008.

She also says intervention from central banks and governments will be with us for some time, and that private-public partnerships will remain key. Financial institutions will play an important role in thinking through widespread changes to the labour market and fiscal and monetary policies, she explains.

Fair point, but I'm going with Conan Doyle on this: Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

They all look - and act - as though they are being blackmailed.

The debt of most Nations has rocketed since the Con Virus.

Mega Corporations like Amazon, Banks and the Pharmaceutical giants will make huge profits from this scam

The UK for example.

52 BILLION POUNDS EACH YEAR AND RISING IN INTEREST PAYMENTS TO BANKS, WHO CREATE MONEY FROM NOTHING.

Expect income tax and VAT hikes as well as severe austerity measures.

I thought exactly this. Along the lines of.get the brits to comply or you're dead. He's even been saying it's difficult to get 'free thinking ' Britain's on board.

I think freedom is at stake- he's playing the fool, oppostion would demand test and trace and less freedoms to keep everyone safe

Matt Hancock with Bill Gates at the World Economic Forum in 2019

(Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) threatens the effective prevention and treatment of an ever-increasing range of infections caused by bacteria, parasites, viruses and fungi. AMR is an increasingly serious threat to global public health that requires action across all government sectors and society)

This whole cases hysteria is ridiculous. How many people are being admitted to hospitals with serious respiratory illnesses? If the rates are no higher than normal, then how in the world can they seriously justify any more locking down of the economy? It boggles the mind that they are relying on this bogus RNA test that has been shown time and time again that it should not be used for testing.

Cases is all too convenient for them because they don't even need to prove anything, it doesn't even need actual sick people or hospital visits for it to be considered a threat. They could be assigning case counts to track and trace exposed people for all we know. Were you in the room with someone that tested positive and they have your details? well now you are a positive case...

I guess that's what I was trying to get at. It's now so obvious it's nothing to do with cases - or even a virus - that we should stop looking for any logic in that area. There's something much more sinister going on. We have to accept it, as unpleasant as that is.

Because the media machine will say he's lost his marbles, and make him a laughing stock. Such a thing may work if a large number of world leaders united to say it.

https://www.goldmansachs.com/insights/pages/face-masks-and-gdp.html

A more abrupt shift has occurred in the official view on face masks. As late as March 30, the World Health Organization advised that there was “no specific evidence to suggest that the wearing of masks by the mass population has any potential benefit.”[2] Since then, however, the public health community’s thinking has changed dramatically and many governments have started to require the wearing of face masks.

Should the United States follow these countries and adopt a national face mask mandate? This is inherently a political decision, but we can use our analytical tools to answer three questions that are relevant to it. First, how effective is a face mask mandate in increasing face mask usage? Second, does increased face mask usage lower virus transmission, and if so by how much? And third, how economically valuable is a face mask mandate in terms of reducing the need for broad lockdowns with their well-documented negative effects on GDP?

Face Mask Mandates and Usage

At present, the United States is among the less restrictive countries with respect to face mask mandates. The federal government did issue a national “recommendation” to wear masks in public settings in April, and many state and local governments have taken more stringent measures. However, a recommendation is not a mandate and the governors of both Florida and Texas—the two most heavily affected large states—recently reiterated their opposition to a statewide mask mandate. By contrast, many European countries now have national mask mandates in place, as shown in Exhibit 1, and much of East Asia has strong social norms of mask wearing when sick and during pandemics.
