Coronavirus: London 'catching up' with Covid-19 hotspots

London is "catching up" with coronavirus hotspots in north-west and north-east England, Mayor Sadiq Khan's office has said.
Data from a few days ago suggested London was two weeks behind those areas, but now it is said to show the gap has closed to two or three days.
Mr Khan has called for new restrictions to be introduced in London soon to slow the virus's spread.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock said he would not "rule that out".

Lockdown by the end of the week then? Just in time to prevent next Saturday's protest from happening?

I have a friend, who’s wife is pregnant.

He has been advised that unless he has a covid test, he cannot be there for the birth of the child or even enter the hospital.

Is this correct? Has somebody had a similar experience/ resolved it without having a false negative fraudulent PCP test and getting onto the system? Evil b*****

I think with the local local lockdowns, especially with London there will be introducing check points

At the end of the video from the bus you can see the front car with its boot open and a rozzer going through the stuff in there. What are they looking for? Does the virus hide in the boot of cars to get through police checkpoints now too? Things are moving too quickly🥺 . They are trying different elements of the whole plan individually in different locations (a check point in Ireland, a curfew here, a local lockdown there, qr codes on the doors of shops) before bringing them all in everywhere in lockstep as cases rise. I feel a national lockdown is definitely on the cards soon. A Gov announcement around midweek maybe, warning about 'rising cases, therefore the need for blah blah..' There will be the need for some more deaths though.. Or Joe public might start to smell a rat. Where are the deaths going to come from? It's too early in the year for a significant amount of flu/pneumonia deaths isn't it?? Are we going to have to endure a long, protracted campaign of fear from the media/government/police until winter proper arrives and starts killing the elderly and infirm again?? ...Which is when the S will really hit the F.

Just now, banjo dog said:

Heard a bloke on the radio recently say he would report neighbours because they are no different than terrorists spreading the virus like some one walking down the road spraying bullets. There really is no hope for some people.

Hence why reporters kept asking the ministers if they would grass their neighbours in. Pritti. Hancock etc

They all said YES.

But would they really?
