'Trusted' All based on titles and positions, not lengthy and deeply personal, daily relationships.

 

I trust my four year old (whether to do good or bad things) because I have lived with her for four years. I know when she tells the truth and know when she lies. She has no titles, no qualifications and no position in life except as my daughter. 

 

if you do not KNOW somebody, then there is no reason to either immediately trust or distrust them. 

 

We have been groomed to trust certain positions and titles in our society without question. This includes the police, doctors, teachers, religious leaders, community leaders and more recently - scientists.

 

Trust the science.

 

If I was seated opposite somebody following that dialogue methodology, I would home straight in on the word 'trusted' and spend many hours there in conversation. I've learnt over the last 20 years how words and definitions are butchered, reversed, perverted, assumed.
