Message added by Grumpy Owl,

This topic is for all general discussion regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic. There are of course numerous other related topics for discussing specific aspects of this pandemic in more detail. And there are other parts of this forum for more 'off-topic' discussions.

I remember when Bliar's gov really pushed for mothers to go back to work ASAP after having a baby, and there were rumours that MP's were big shareholders in nurseries.

It's just all business.

I wonder who owns the care homes?

Geezo, that's really disturbing!

I didn't know about that.

The homes I worked in (actually I shouldn't say that as there was one care home in Dorset that was insanely wonderful! The manager treated the staff with so much respect. It was clean, residents got the best care I've ever seen. It was independently owned also.)

But the others have either been owned by the council or big businesses who are making millions and millions and paying the poorest wages. It's such an easy business for them.

Each resident pays £600-800 per week to live there. Many selling their homes to manage :(

I guess it's hard for the outside world to see, but being there first hand taught me a lot.

The only comfort I can give is that there are some AMAZING carers and nurses who really do care and they are the ones who make all the difference.

this is how they pushed the vaccines for children.

forget 4 weeks off work to look after your child with mumps --- give em the jab

forget 2 weeks off for measles -- give em the jab

then extended the Nanny State to assist with child care funding for those people working

of course the rampaging out of control economy was not attended to which was provoking the need for 2 working parents and the threat of career ending penalties if a parent dared to have time off to look after their child

Sounds about right, destroy family values.

All through a pseudo- socialist gov.

We could do with knowing if she's had the vax?

sorry , this needs more info

to be fair ... people do faint.. or is all fainting COVID vax?

I doubt she's had the vax, these politicians pushing the vaccines never take them themselves.

Who knows why she really fainted... I guess we'll see much more of this.

This shows even more what a bang she goes down with:

Was it fainting or sudden, complete loss of consciousness?

Would that be more serious?

And all irrelevant if she's not been jabbed!!!!

If you need anything else other than a "free" weekly COVID test from the NHS you will have to wait.

I wonder what the stats are comparing how many people get a referral from their GP, since the huge reduction in waiting time, even long before covid. (Looking at the graph, since 2009 ish).

How did they dramatically reduce the numbers over that short timescale? Was it simply by making it more difficult to access treatment in the first place?

It's like trying to get blood out of a stone, unless you say you want to go private, obviously, then you get in tomorrow.

Far from "Saving the NHS", all this covid BS will destroy it, and all the complicit medical staff will sink along with the Titanic that is the NHS, although the nurses and doctors will be making Tiktok videos on the sinking decks as it goes down.

My had hurts it really does :( This is a response to Lucy Worsley posting on twitter today that she has had her first Astro Zeneca jab. I honestly, truly and genuinely don't get people like this.

As for Lucy Worsley, hardly uneducated and unintelligent but still has the jab :(

She works for the BBC, so I guess she's bound to be brainwashed.

As for the sticker, the donut you get, the free lolly, ffs.

When this becomes common knowledge that this genocide came with the incentive of a free sticker and a donut, won't these people look idiots.

No way VAR would have given a penalty for that one,

If she played for Man United, Fernandes would have buried it before the check. If she played for Wolves, she'd have been sent off for diving.

Bloody corrupt game off the pitch.

Everybody I know who has had the jab is highly intelligent. Retired engineers, teachers, architects etc.

Intelligence not used is foolishness. Not one of them employed wisdom - which in this case is to simply find out the truth of a matter.

They had the intelligence to do so but did not. Instead, they put their trust in the government and the media.
