Message added by Grumpy Owl,

This topic is for all general discussion regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic. There are of course numerous other related topics for discussing specific aspects of this pandemic in more detail. And there are other parts of this forum for more 'off-topic' discussions.

Well i got my reply from my MP re: Covid, Here is what they said,

Thank you for contacting me about the renewal of the Coronavirus Act.

The Coronavirus Act is an important piece of legislation in our national response to the Coronavirus pandemic. The purpose of the legislation is to ensure that, throughout the pandemic, sufficient staff are available, and deployed where they are most needed, as well as supporting members of the public, containing and slowing the virus, and managing the deceased with respect and dignity. The Act would have expired at the end of March and so needed to be renewed to ensure that Local Authorities, the Police and the NHS continue to have the powers needed to respond to the pandemic and to implement restrictions if needed. The powers are also necessary as we move forward with the cautious easing of restrictions set out in the Prime Minister's Roadmap.

However, the measures in the Coronavirus Act are temporary and must remain proportionate to the threat we face. It is important that they will only be used when strictly necessary, and will only be in place for as long as necessary to respond to the pandemic effectively. The Government has carried out an extensive review of the provisions within the Act and, because of the excellent progress in our fight against this virus, the Government is now able to expire and suspend a raft of measures within the Act.

I completely appreciate any concerns about the power conferred by the Coronavirus Act relating to people who may be infectious. This provision simply seeks to ensure that isolation measures can be enforced if necessary. In practice, this power would take the form of a public health officer or police officer returning people to places that they have been required to stay. For example, if someone has been contacted by NHS Test and Trace and required to self-isolate for 14 days, and then is found out and about during that time, they would be returned home. Equally, the act empowers police and immigration officers to make sure that individuals attend testing or treatment facilities as required.

The measures outlined in the Government's Roadmap provide a path out of this pandemic, offering us a route to normal life. We are currently meeting each of the Government's four tests for easing restrictions and remain on track to deliver on vaccine commitments meaning we can move forward to the next stage of the Roadmap from March 29th. The Government has also committed the remaining stages of Roadmap into law.

As we move forward with the Roadmap, it is imporant that the tools needed to continue to fight this virus are maintained but I agree that we must also dismantle all of these emergency powers as soon as we can.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact me.

Kind regards,

gone through the initial input (name d.o.b etc) then gotta click send code to contact number............just doesnt come through........clicked resend resend resend......absolutely nothing.

have you had any luck?

Haven't bothered since I can only get to the bit where you put in NHS number and it says "We don't seem to have your contact details, update them at doctor's surgery. I'll try again when they lift some of the restrictions and start giving out paper forms. Does it tell you the contact number it's sending to? That might not be correct

This ties in with what Monsters Inc kind of do, but in the end they realise laughter generates more energy than screams, but, in our case, maybe our laughter is being diminished in favour of more fear-based "energy"?

Laughter is good for the soul.

Try not to laugh🤣

We’ve all been flooded with cortisol this past year whether it’s because we can see what’s going on or because we think there is a real killer bug out there.

short term stress has been shown to increase immunity but long term stress decreases it.

It’s time to de- stress.

I like this poem that they use for alcoholics.  Most people are alcoholics because they are stressed as they use it medicinally.  Once you accept the things you cannot change and concentrate on the things you can it becomes calming.  We’ve all been like a hamster on a wheel this past year trying to warn people and no matter what evidence is pushed in front of some they will never get it. Perhaps because cortisol has flooded their system and makes them unable to think straight.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and wisdom to know the difference

Cortisol: Why the "Stress Hormone” Is Public Enemy No. 1

Scientists have known for years that elevated cortisol levels interfere with learning and memory, lower immune function and bone density, increase weight gain, blood pressure, cholesterol, and heart disease—the list goes on.

we all knew that too which is why we recognised that lockdowns were going to cause so much harm. But did we look after ourselves properly throughout?  I know I didn’t. Like a hamster on a wheel trying to wake everyone up.  Not taking the time to do the things I loved doing. So fell into the trap also.

Was there some recent propaganda on TV? i am seeing a lot more aggression towards non mask wearers. I was saying to a whatsapp group ive been in for years that the virus is bs and lockdowns did nothing after they started talking about getting their vaccines. They visually lost it and had to leave the conversation. Its like a violent programmed emotional reaction. Like the guy with the bike.

It may be that the maskers have been wearing them now for so long and they hate having to do it. Seeing a normal maskless human really does perhaps wind them up and irritate them. A lot of them are locked into the concept of the mask and perhaps deep down are frustrated that they can't break free of it.

Fully agree that laughter is great for the soul, and I am my own source of endless amusement (much to the groans of my wife and kids!).

I have genuine belly laughs several times a day, and must admit it feels good, like a nice light, airy feeling versus the heavy "doom and gloom" some people seem to enjoy.

Will have a watch of the video now and have a bedtime laugh 😂

The really tough aspect for me is the constant increase in people I know who have been vaxed. It's really quite draining and induces massive feelings of guilt.

I absolutely disagree with that statement because a lot of hiphop music is actually educational and uplifting.

I agree that "gangsta rap" is a Social Engineering tool used by TPTB, but to tar all hiphop with the same brush as gangsta rap shows a lack of understanding and experience of hiphop, in my opinion as someone who has listened to hiphop for 30 years.

Just went back to gangsta rap myself, this stuff was heard before I woke up, listening to this. I wanted to use AI music separation to take off the vocals and put them on something new, nostalgic plus new. I found that I don't even want to hear a lot of the tracks any more. It's unclean. There's nothing positive in it. Goes against my feeling now, and that's a important fact actually. That I can see the excuses given around the time about a mirror of the real were not genuine, whether the instigators were aware or not. Also I say hip hop/rap was not always a bad thing I believe it was noticed as a threat and infiltrated as so many other things have been. Ice Cube though was a standout. Trying to push something useful amongst the popular mysogynism, cop and jew hate.

Managed not to laugh at that but I've seen some shit. And I envy the fuckers that can laugh at that.

Lastly to reference the first quote:

In TZC land anyone answering 'not sure' would be:

fed into the mincer feet first then incinerated.

Anyone answering 'yes' would be given an opportunity to change their mind before being fed ino the mincer head first, and incinerated.

Anyone answering 'no' would be given a fuckin great hug and left to their own devices.

That video is beautiful. Just seeing the people smiling and laughing after looking puzzled and miserable is magic.

Laughter is healing.

Clear majority! I don't recall taking part in a UK wide referendum on this issue.

With all the face nappy mask Nazis around, it wouldn't surprise me. But then again, how can anyone trust these poles.

I know some too, but I did warn them and told them it was experimental new tech that had never been tried on humans before. My dad is really into his health stuff, does weight training, will only drink bottled water, has all the best cuts of meat and only fresh veg. Then he goes and has that injected into him. So no feelings of guilt.   Mind boggling.  Let it go. You can’t change it.  No point you suffering for their actions as well.
