This topic is for all general discussion regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic. There are of course numerous other related topics for discussing specific aspects of this pandemic in more detail. And there are other parts of this forum for more 'off-topic' discussions.

Yes just heard about this this afternoon .Im in NSW . Went to my GPs surgery today and was amazed at the constant stream of people coming in to inquire about registering for the jab after they had smothered their hands in sanitizer at the entrance .At one point I had to walk outside because a masked woman came in and began asking what she had to do to get the vaccine ,and was getting almost hysterical ,I heard her say "They said on the news ........" .I ended saying -just before i walked out -"Well if its on the news then it must be true " .surprisingly no one seemed to hear me . She was followed by several middle aged men also asking questions and another even crazier masked woman who said she wanted the Pfizer jab not the Astra Zeneca one being offered .All in all felt i was surrounded by fearful crazy lemmings ready to jump off the cliff ,quite depressing really .

I don’t know anyone who has had any covax, everyone I’ve spoken to is dead set against it.... so my positivity is high.  Life here in Vic is like nothing happened around the areas I frequent. I almost have to laugh at how everybody totally ignores the hand sanitisers that seem to adorn all shop entrances. With Dan away it seems the whole State full of mice are at play. Most people I know reckon he’ll probably try it on again in winter, but unless there are bodies in the street, I don’t think it’ll be as successful as the first time around when people knew nothing. To be frank, I can’t believe this thing still has legs, it’s a joke. These cretins who want to barcode every grain of rice need a new think tank to come up with a much slicker campaign imo.

I found this article about Dr Rachel Clarke v interesting a while back, esp as I thought, wow, so busy you could write a bestselling book about it all, at the time it was happening? What a wonderwoman.

Yep, like Gal Gadot.

Take a coronavirus test before you travel to England

You must have proof of a negative coronavirus (COVID-19) test to travel to England.

You must take a test even if:

  • you’re a UK citizen
  • you’ve already had the COVID-19 vaccine

obvious question, obvious answer - "variants". obvious question - why bother with the vaccine then? umm, because... umm

For everything else, once vaccinated you don't have to prove you're negative.

BS at full flow.

I love it.  Thanks.

As well as you highlight, paying and doing the "72 hour pre test" for entering the U.K., people have to pay around £210 for another two more COVID tests, taken on day 2 and day 8, quarantining for 10 full days in a place of their choice, which will extend if they get a positive COVID result.   If someone is coming from a red list country it is £1,750 (for an adult) for 10 days in a managed quarantine hotel and the 2 tests.  If you get a positive test on either the 2nd or 8th day the quarantine clock resets for another 10 days.  An extra day in a quarantine hotel is £152. Testing positive on the 2nd or 8th day test would either cost an extra £302 or £1,216.  Maximum possible total cost is £2,966.   It can get very expensive and the jabs give no extra privilege.

It is not about getting back to normal.  They don't want people freely travelling around - period.  The tourist industry is finished.

Blatant propagandist pushing the narrative, I hope everything those evil trolls say happens to the witch, she definitely sucks Satans cock. Is one thing giving commentary about struggling nurses "drowning in covid."🤥

But at the same times pushing the woke, globalist BLM, LGBT, Vaccines should be mandatory...politics & not expect a few ⚰️ threats.

Im no Trumpfan but this is a good example & how the fuck is this woman representing the NHS or even still got a job there??

Trump hatred and pro lockdown, covid cultism go together. Along with climate change belief.

This guy is a public health director, he has the responsibility for closing schools and businesses. His twitter feed is anti Trump.

He failed to check however the press conference Trump gave for these facts, and relied purely on the BBC.

Atrocious how the entire globalist media milked the HCQ & Hydrogen Peroxide therapy truths.

Also Vitamin D, Zinc & suppressing Ivermectin. Basically a real holocaust.

But then Trump at the same time pushes the Messenger jabs transhumanist agenda. Even after he was out of office.

This kills me. The majority of my family are abroad.

Something told me the last time I'd see my brother would either be the last time, or at least for a very long time.

I hate this so much.

My cousin just got the jab, she has a desk job with the HSE in Ireland. She wasnt exactly a convert but had been asking some questions at least. People just cave into the pressure so damn easily. Here they still havent got thru the 70s age group of the general population but seems if you are just a pen pusher with the health board they bump you thru as an essential worker and pressure you into the jab. Would love to know how many refuse. I reckon with the sheep laden Irish theres very few indeed that have the moral fibre or smarts to say no.

This is what’s gonna eventually nab a lot of people here too. Migrants have family overseas, the ones I know like to visit at least every two years if not annually. So I guess it’ll come down to how much they wanna see their family as to whether they’re shot up or not. They may as well book a one way ticket and hope they’re well enough to at least reach their destination and see their family for a bit before carking it 💉

Well what do you say !! All planned!

Incredible. You literally couldn't make it up except they left out the bit about a virus so deadly that 1 in 6 people with no symptoms would spread it.

and also a vaccine that will only work when the whole of the planet's human population gets it.

What a croque of shit!

Round here, it's the schoolkids. Sending them back is going to cause the third wave and cases will go through the roof, apparently!

I had a conversation with a neighbour while queueing at the Fish Van (yes, we have a mobile fishmonger) and she was discussing the proles’ favourite topic, vaccination. When they had it, how it affected them and when the next one is due; she turned and asked me if I’ve had mine, assuming I would. I shook my head to which she replied “CHICKEN!” If I had my wits about me I would have said to her, “GUINEA-PIG!” I’d rather be a chicken than a pig…

She went on to tell me the horrendous effect it had on her and I said, “I don’t like the sound of that.” So, she assured me that it doesn’t affect everyone the same way and said encouragingly, “You’ll be fine.” Again, presuming I will be getting it anyway, when I “man-up” because it’s what you do, right? WRONG! These people have not lost their minds, they never had one in the first place and depend entirely on newspapers and TV to tell them what to think!

I hate it very much as well. I hope you are able to meet your family soon.   Is there any possibility of relocating to where your family is?
