It would make sense. These people all love writing about what they are going to do to us, many years in advance. Then again, it's up to the reader. If you're smart, you'll take it as a warning and take action long in advance. If you're a control freak psychopath, you'll use it as inspiration for your future endeavors and evil planning.

Indeed, it was up to the reader to resist this form of society and 1984's themes have permeated through our society for so many years without any meaningful resistance by the great mass of people. Lack of resistance has been taken as consent....and here we are today....in room 101....with the cage being strapped to our heads.

One thing for sure, they will never stop until they are stopped. Unfortunately, just too many sheep.

Do we need to burn 1984?

All that book has done for us is to have guided us into this trap. It offers no hope whatsoever.

That would be sacrilege. Burning books is something I could never do. A line I could never cross.

Agree but that's always been the way and always will be. There is always going to be a giant mob of proles being pushed in one direction or other....and they will never awaken.

Yeah people crave leaders, and nobody wants to stick their neck out and risk being a dead martyr. It's always been this way, it's not new. We just revise history and say that all the people were on the side of liberty when most were very comfortable cowards tolerating and making excuses for tyranny if they thought they could keep the head down and avoid persecution.

All we need to turn this is a small group of brave people to stand up, have a pair of cojones, get organised and push back. Then the silent crowds who know something is wrong but don't have anyone to follow will join them.

Yep.

Orwell was taking the piss out of people like you and me...he was clearly showing that resistance was futile and if you try to resist you will suffer a terrible fate....worse than death. Hope lies in the proles? haha no chance....

Orwell is O'Brien.

I was at this and amongst it.     The police were doing there job, trying to keep the protest in the big open square. The people leading the protest tried marching a thousand  people across roads etc...n i know the idea is for the asleep world to see us....but the guys at front have a responsibility to the women and children and elderly who also attended. because if we want the world to engage we cant march into the police we have to engage with them, try n get them to walk with us n allow access.

i told the police to let me n some people with kids out they did, n then i went back and asked the police to let me in to get more out, they said theyl do it with liason officers............. they were not helplessly attacking protesters...they just wanted us in 1 place....passions are high we are fighting terror.

but we have to try and engage...it is so important.......the more i attend the more il try n influence....we need brains.

i actually blame the guys at the front of the protest not the police.

it is normal to keep numbers in a big open space......the problem we have is we cant wake up more of us, if they keep us away in the background....so.........we have to try n reach them on a human level before the cabal replace them with the fukin androids....n this opportunity is gone forever

I hope you're right, human nature and history perhaps suggests otherwise....the proles will always choose the possible safety of being transported to a 'camp' over risking a bullet in the head by refusing to get on the train.

I think there's always the danger that organised protests can be giant echo chambers and easily kept segregated from the proles. Maybe disorganised protests are more effective....a situation where say in a supermarket the number of maskless people vastly outnumbers the masked would have a psychological impact on a lot of people. I think making the masked feel a minority in a social situation could disrupt the group think.

You're dead wrong on your entire post.

The police are enforcing the will of the government, which is to suppress our inalienable right to protest.

They keep you in one place to stop you achieving the goal of ending tyranny.

If you honestly think engaging with police will change their minds and bring them onside then you're going to be in for a shock when you realise how futile and idiotic that concept is.

You should complain from the safety of your armchair rather than go posing at protests because, shock horror, protests can, and do, become violent because no significant change ever occurred from non-violent means.

There are many ways to protest. It’s not just going out in the streets and showing your disapproval. Stop referring to media- don’t go to the websites, don’t comment on the boards even if it’s because you want to keep up with current events. Stop giving your energy to the media. Let the media know you don’t need it and disempower it. Also, one can protest privately which can be even more potent in many ways. Use your mind and be creative. The establishments most powerful moves are always done behind the scenes. Beat them at their own game.

but it just  shows how the media is such a cancerous organisation. Obv we sell arms to this nation...so all you get is Saudi is becoming liberal and changing etc etc...............BBC and Sky are just public relation terrorists.

fucking disgusting..........

we really are gunna have to cleanse this sick fuckin corrupt industry

dont know how true it is but at a speech today, it was actually said people high ranking in the military are taking note of whats going off and are moving into position against the government........ fingers crossed

Jesus, was it a nutter Trump fan claiming this?

Those in the military are no different than those in the mass public, possibly even more indoctrinated which is a scary thought. You will be lucky if 0.3% of the population are awake to the globalist agenda. A fraction of that hypothetical 0.3% will be in the military, because if you are awake to what's going on then you wouldn't be in the military. Therefore, if by some miracle you could find 1 or 2 awakened souls in the military, they would simply be outnumbered by the other conforming numnuts.

The game is over. We are fucked. And always have been.

I'm not saying we're not in for some very tough and dark times. I'm saying we're not doomed if some of us are prepared to take a stand. The third Reich was meant to last 1000 years, it only lasted 12 in the end.

What does concern me is that maybe Orwell was asked to write 1984 as a plan, a programme to be followed. He was a Fabian along with Huxley. Both novels I now find very troubling....perhaps they weren't warnings to future generations but rather statements of intent? This is how society will change and there's nothing that can be done to resist it.

Huxley's Brave New World was without a doubt predictive programming but Orwell's 1984 I'm not so sure, it may have been a warning but if it was predictive programming then Orwell seemingly had a change of heart and saw the light at some point, the last interview he ever gave not long before he died was him warning people not to let 1984 happen for real.

Kind of feels that way I'm afraid...I think people against the agenda will be treated much more harshly in the future, this will unfortunately make the proles even more likely to keep their heads down as they won't want the same fate.
