I received a letter from my workplace saying the Council requires everyone who works with children (me) to take a test, but… it is not compulsory. There was a box to tick for ‘yes’ if you agree to it or ‘no’ if you don’t and it was supposed to be returned promptly. I binned it and no-one has ever asked me for the form.
