My Mum and Dad never had one and I certainly don’t. For some people it’s like a religion to have one and frequent, ongoing visits, so called ‘check ups’. I think older people go to them because they want someone to listen to them and it’s like a social outing. Not all doctors are their friend or care about them as much as they care about the fee.
