In your opinion why would Mexicans have a flu season? Agreed they are obese, diabetic, alcoholic etc but the outbreak patterns are not linear. All these pre-existing health matters should provoke even outbreak patterns year round. To their credit I can attest the Mexicans have a very varied diet of grains, fish, fruits and veg all grown locally and food is cheap. Also determining how much drift to allow is tricky. Not an easy job. With over 120 million population an average flu season deaths of 600 people its a bit of a joke really. why at that time of year? i dont know, i cant find any data from studies. but then its pertinent to ask the same question to Covid19 --- last year and the predicted spike again this year. Talkradio Julia has been veyr upset that cases were reducing before the lockdown last year and they were at it again at december. piggie backing on natural waves of illness with the lockdowns.
