A Windows update gets foisted on you slyly (for your own good).. most of the time it seems to do nothing.. but occasionally it turns your computer into an expensive paperweight. But even if the update seems to do nothing... six or seven months along the line, your computer stars to sputter and slow... so eventually you decide to ditch it in favour of a new model.
