Sit down, Waldo
47 minutes ago, Brad the lad said: I'm in a similar game to you. I go 6 to 10 houses a day. I have been refused entry ONCE in 6 months. She was having a complete panic attack at the front door when she see me with no mask on. If you are excempt then you are excempt. The company can NOT make you wear one. They can threat you with the sack or stopping the contract but not on these grounds...believe me. If you go to the door faking it and in a bad place the client will pick up on it. If you believe you are excempt in your heart (which I do and I am) then the client will not say nothing 9 times out of 10. If they do then wave them your badge. Don't tell the company because it's none of their business. You can explain you have an excemption to wearing one and 99% of the English nation will except your reason. One thing about England is we have had discrimination rammed down a throats for the last 20 years plus so in general the public are quite tollerant around this issue in my opinion. How it will be next winter only time will tell but up until now this is my experience. Have belief in what you do and know in your heart that you are not lying (if it makes you very uncomfortable and anxious wearing the mask). Good luck mate. Cheers mate. This is one of those situations where being self-employed doesn't help a lot. I get by, but that's about it & don't have contacts, just goodwill really...the nature of the job. If I was in & out quickly it would be easier, but I'm in a property for maybe 30 mins & in every room. It's what it is at the moment. Most people are scared.
