Message added by Grumpy Owl,

This topic is for all general discussion regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic. There are of course numerous other related topics for discussing specific aspects of this pandemic in more detail. And there are other parts of this forum for more 'off-topic' discussions.

If you've already been primed by the MSM to see any alternative perspective as "conspiracy theory",  looking for an alternative would be a no no for many people. You're right that ignorance is a choice but when the choice to seek out information has been successfully associated with being some kind of 'nutter' then that is a barrier placed in people's path

Why the fuck do so many people feel the need to even watch/read MSM?

It's like a religion to them

I stopped doing it when I realised it was mostly lies around 20 years ago.

I visited somebody last week and they had Sky News on, at lunchtime. I asked him why he watched it......he said "I don't, it's just a background noise....habit I suppose"

I told him his subconscious mind was absorbing lie after lie after lie.

He laughed and said "don't be ridiculous"

I couldn't muster the strength to even begin to answer.

I asked him if he could turn it off while I was there.....thankfully he did.

I only wanted to buy a guitar off him.

We don't have any representation anymore. This is a dictatorship and the sheep are lapping it up. Bojo the clown and co are doing the best they can they cry! Arseholes, the lot of em.

We need to find them, demand to know where they are. Their job is to protect our rights and speak up for our concerns....they are the most essential employees in the country at the moment!  Perhaps they are our only hope.

They forgot to mention the Variants from Arakkis, Isle of Crumpet , Dagobah, Carlsberg and Fantasy Island .

Not to mention the house of commons variant where symptoms include idiocy, megalomania, dystopian mindset, inability to think and act rationally and a propensity for fascism. They only solution to freeing the globe of covid is the immediate incarceration of authoritarians.

For some that's very true but surely not for all of them. I just don't want to believe that there isn't a sizeable percentage that are angry as hell about all of this.

Perhaps that's why emailing your mp about this is so futile...the email gets forwarded to a central server and you get a computer generated response.

They all have political attachés. They screen snailmail, faxes, appointments and emails. These attachés decide what needs to be seen by the higherups.

I can't say how many of the intermediaries answered my handwritten letters over the years but  I can't recall the politicians ever writing back personally.

How do we bypass them and get to the person that was elected by us? There must be a way. Our MPs should be asking the very same questions that me, you and everyone else on this forum is. They can't all be 100% behind every single policy decision being made.

we know wearing a mask for long periods causes bacterial pneumonia.

the workforce has been wearing masks for 8hrs a day for 6 months now.

when should we start to see them having lung issues?

Already have experience of 3 colleagues who have suffered chest infections that took quite a while to shake off...all mask wearers.

Most people are ignorant in this way.  It's true that the subconscious or also called the unconscious mind is indeed absorbing everything, that part of our mind takes in everything that is going on around us. Even if he had the volume on low and  the news reader whispered, he would still be absorbing it, because the unconscious mind can 'hear' it, even if the person cannot consciously hear what is being said.

Not seen much evidence they exist & we are continually teased into wishful thinking.

The rare or occasional act of fairness from politics is designed to foster "hope".

Fair mindedness is anathema to political longevity. Career suicide.

Its a purely fear based system and control is the virtue extolled by fear.

My overall position however is that authoritarianism no matter the format is an immoral act.

By extension no government can ever be legitimate.

The function of all governments taken to their logical conclusion is slavery.

It will start with a persistent cough and over the years if not dealt with by stopping wearing the masks and dealing with the infection, it will lead to COPD and eventually pneumonia.

I know what its like to run out of air at 30metres depth,,you panic & are ready to knock anyone out to get a breath & people are willing to give that up??!!😖

Continuous restriction of air over time will lead to brain damage from carbon dioxide poisoning. Hypercapnia.

I dont think driving a car with a mask is clever..will dull the senses.

Forcing children or old people to restrict their breathing is madness.

Dont care what any fact checker wank says.

The WHO & even the BBC had stated you shouldnt jog or do heavy exercise with a mask on. Yet government is forcing workers to do just that.

Strange how anyone will put up with this.

Grounds for a good law suit.
