Its the marvel of the PCR, you can't establish infection or contagion but you can enlarge almost anything to get a good look at it. Leprosy is not as uncommon as people think. Not bad for a device inspired while under the influence of LSD. As a side note the m.leprae (leprocy) is being studied for its ability to enter a cell and order it to differentiate (albeit chaotically in that illness) giving the order from outside the nucleus. If I understand the work being done this could eliminate the need for stem cells and open doors to organizing the differentiation process to make it do what we want.
