There is no evidence to suggest that locking down the economy is contributing towards a reduction in deaths. That is simply assumed from the start, without basis or historical precedent which is very unreasonable. Looking at the mass gatherings that did occur despite the lockdown, there was no corresponding increase in cases or deaths as a result of these gatherings. If the lockdown theory had any weight then we would have seen a reduction in cases and deaths after the lockdowns were implemented, in fact we have seen only the complete opposite. Every time the lockdown preceded an increase in cases and deaths. Which ever way you look at it, the lockdowns are not proven to reduce the infection rate of a virus and best case it delays the inevitable and worst case it destroys millions of lives for no benefit.
