This topic is for all general discussion regarding the current COVID-19 pandemic. There are of course numerous other related topics for discussing specific aspects of this pandemic in more detail. And there are other parts of this forum for more 'off-topic' discussions.

But  you have to remember that this is a very, very clever virus. What has most likely happened here is that the virus has packed its travel bags and booked a flight from South Africa to Birmingham International. At around 50 nanometers across, there's plenty of leg room for Mr Covid, even on Squeezy Jet or Ryanair.

But this "isn't linked to international travel" apparently. 🤔

Anyway, within the next two years, the virus will be able to arrive at Birmingham Airport and get on a bus directly to Walsall.

National Express to run zero-emission Sprint bus services

National Express West Midlands has announced its intention to run new rapid transit bus services along the A34 and A45 Sprint route between Walsall, Birmingham and Solihull.

The new services will first launch in May 2022 with a fleet of zero-emission double decker Platinum buses, which will be able to beat traffic jams and offer reliable journey times by using dedicated bus lanes and priority measures at junctions along the routes which will cross Birmingham and join Walsall and Solihull for the first time.

Ignorant is one thing. Willfully and arrogantly ignorant is another.

That could easily have been me if I hadnt come across the Flat Earth debate show on youtube.

Many of us were like these so called morons at one point.

Fair enough. But I'm a simple man. Morons is a word I enjoy. Call me a cunt, but so be it.

It's happened!

New coronavirus symptom people are being urged to take Covid-19 test over

A runny nose is on the expanded list of symptoms that requires a test

Quote

One million people in the north west of England are being told to get a Covid test - even if they only have a runny nose.

In a bid to control a cluster of coronavirus cases with a E484K mutation centred around Liverpool, health officials have urged people with an expanded list of symptoms to get a test.

A runny nose is on the expanded list of symptoms that requires a test.

A mutation of coronavirus initially detected in Liverpool has been found in Preston and West Lancashire, say local health officials.

People living in those areas are being urged to take a Covid-19 test if they are feeling unwell, with symptoms including a cold, mild flu and headaches.

Dr Sakthi Karunanithi, director of public health and wellbeing at Lancashire County Council, said: "If you live in Preston or West Lancashire and you're feeling under the weather, please get a Covid test.

From: https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/new-coronavirus-symptom-people-being-19774546

Well it was only a matter of time wasn't it. How many people get a runny nose or 'the sniffles' when it is cold and wet? This can happen even if you don't actually have a cold.

Like I said in my comment on that article, its almost like people are being manipulated into taking a 'test', just to further drive up the 'case numbers'.

On one hand, people are being 'teased' into believing 'the peak has passed', and there is 'hope' that lockdown restrictions will start to be eased 'by Easter'. But then on the other hand, the more people that have nothing really wrong with them who get psychologically beaten into being 'tested', the more fraudulent 'positive cases' can be presented.

And if the 'cases' start increasing again, there ain't going to be any lockdown easing, that is for sure.

The only really important thing is to know if you have antibodies to c19 which means you have had it (one variant anyway) and should have at least nominal immunity.  All else is meaningless.

what about T cells?

Fellow human beings that have been misled.

that's quite a lot to type out though everytime we want to refer to them

we could agree on a shorthand term that we could use to identify them....what about 'morons'?

Does anyone believe the vaccine numbers? I myself know no one who has had the vaccine.

If they have been targeting the over 60s then there is a total of 12600235 over 60s in the UK. I have heard of people over 60 being contacted by them. I do doubt the numbers, I think that is a way to convince people that everyone is doing it in order to convince them to get it. I have heard a few reports of them hounding people with letter and then even calling up and being threatening and now they are visiting house asking why they don't want to take the vaccine. They are very enthusiastic about the vaccine, the point where one might consider them fanatical.

How can we have antibodies to C19 when the virus has never been isolated!

'misled' doesn't flow as well.....it's like a hill isn't it?

The first syllable takes you to the top of the hill and then the second syllable takes you back down the hill really fast....it's just not elegant

'morons' on the other hand....
