Good article in the DM. More of this please. It’ll be shoved to the bottom of the page and probably never make the paper version

BEVERLEY TURNER: Why I refused to clap for Captain Tom. I applaud Britain's hero - but I refuse to bow to the clapping brigade who wag their fingers at empty doorsteps and fail to see the damage caused by endless lockdowns

John Kerry has spent something like 20 hours in the air in a private jet this year, lecturing people about carbon footprints. Why dont they start at the top, the ones with the largest carbon footprints, like him? It would make a huge difference and send a message too, to lead by example. The likes of him (and Al Gore) were also saying in the 90s that the earth only had 8 years left, much as he is saying now. Attenborough himself refused to co-operate with the environmental movement in past decades, when it wasnt quite as fashionable as it is now, and he had a career to protect, and when he could have made a huge difference. If these people are so clever and revered, why are there so many environmental problems, still today?

I know your comment was tongue in cheek but you’ve hit the nail on the head. There aren’t any.

They lock us down to save NHS...then open up Nightingales that they dont use.

Then they shut them down & lock us down again to save the NHS.

They spend billions on useless test from a fraudulent PCR test.

They spend billions on a useless track & trace.

Then they spend billions on their vaccines that dont actually immunise anybody & ever since they've been dishing them out old people have started dropping like flies. But they always leave a disclaimer "it had nothing to do with the vaccine.."

They claim one mask is not enough..& we must mask up when exercising. Totally against previous advice of course.

Exactly. And, contrary to the Great Reset and Globalist plans, I believe the answer lies in de-centralised local self-sufficient living projects. Not something any celebrity or government is promoting.

absolutely...just run out of my measly daily quota of likes but yes

If they want to get serious about using less resources and about producing less emissions then lets have an open, public discussion about localised self-sufficient living and let the richest 1% use the wealth they've plundered over the last few decades to help that happen

For example bill gates just bought up tons of land in the US. He could parcel that up into small scale farming but he won't. Their vision is driving people off the land to make way for large scale farming done by drones/robots and GMO's

Instead the oligarchs have gone off the deep end and are pursuing genocide instead

Ha, funny you should mention the man behind the curtain in the wizard of oz as there is a passage in the bible that refers to the Anti-Christ in the same way;:classic_biggrin:

Isaiah 14:16

They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee and consider thee, saying, ‘Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms.

Yeah, nice passage. The desire to control and to subjugate is always brought about by a feeling of lacking in oneself. Someone, or some group, who is only able to convince people of their power by inflicting pain and suffering is terrified that those they are seeking to control will see the reality: that their power is an illusion. The truly powerful can shine their light without needing others to bend the knee in their presence.

Out of likes too, but this exactly.

You can see its all a drive towards centralised power and grabbing the wealth that people have worked for, and wrapping it up in some fake eco-friendly package. Bill Gates should definitely give autonomy and control back to the farmers, but whats the bets he'll make an Amazon-like corporate monopoly, screw the organic farmers, farmers markets etc. while promoting GMOs linked in with the big pharma industry, as you say. Why is he allowed to own the land? Why isnt it owned by farmers co-operatives in every state?

Same here in the UK, the government should be having a Vitamin D drive and local food and fruit and vegetable campaign, to strengthen our God given immunity and communities, if they really cared about the people. Instead, everything they do is about making us weaker and them richer, and moving towards a global farm for surveilled humans.

Come on Liam! Come on Noel! Not so fucking hard now are you??????!!!!!
You were so loud mouthed and 'out there' all these years - where are you now eh - when it matters?
Come on then - fucking sellouts the lot of you.
Even Iggy Pop who I fucking loved before all this nonsense - is a fucking sell-out.

Come radio DJ's, Television presenters, 'working class' 'roots' pop/rock/rap and film stars where are you?
More worried about the dollars and you little 'career' and getting sued than the very future of mankind?

Good will triumph you know?    YOU and EVERY other celebrity will be remembered for doing precisely NOTHING.
You are prime placed to help turn the tide - all it takes is enough guts to do something right. Speak the truth.

Cowards.

I can add the Beat and the Dead Kennedys to the list of corporate stooges, they are both advocating masks and jabs on their FB page. Fucking shameless cunts.

🙂 The quote and post from illmatic perfectly sums up what the world has been suffering for eons under emperors, dictators, and tyrannies. Anyone who wants to control or inflict pain on others is lacking in some sense. It just needs more to wake up and see it, and their game is over.

Appreciate that NS, and Alexa. Inspired by Nietzsche but yeah, I've always thought it was a truism that applies to every aspect of life, at every level. The truly powerful can gain a following for their influence, but they inspire rather than subjugate, and if anyone chooses to move away from them they accept it because it doesn't diminish what they have. Anyone who controls through threats or manipulation is trying to fill a hole they couldn't fill themselves, and they wrongly think forcing others to bow to them will give them what they lack.

Noel Gallagher did an anti-mask rant early doors. Jedward had a go at him for it.

In fairness I dont think Noel has ever claimed to be political, always been up front about being in it for the rock n roll and the money, not changing the world. Its what separates his band from the Stone Roses ;-)

Liam told Ian Brown to shut up about it as well. It's been very revealing to see musicians who made their bucks being rebels and anti-government now effectively being the establishment. The irony is none of them will have a career, in terms of concerts, if this carries on. Or if they do, and concerts resume, they will have lost all credibility amongst the true believers, of what they were supposed to stand for - opposing tyranny.

Ian Brown made Liam Gallagher. He's the Godfather of the Manchester scene, Liam's entire image came from Ian with a dash of John Lennon. Telling him to shut up when he seems to actually agree with him but is too scared to do anything about it is pretty rich.

All this talk about lan Brown and the Stone Roses is going to make someone post and 'off topic' music video any minute now..

I'm standing alone, you're weighing the gold

Exactly. Very disrespectful. People can forget their forebears, and what made them. They might acknowledge theyre standing on the shoulders of giants, but forget it when it comes to popularity and money, versus what really made the giants in the first place.

The song inspired by the film, the Treasure of Sierra Madre, where those who started off as friends, digging for gold forgot their pact to share the gold, and started fighting!

And this was used in Ian's covid song.
