I believe we had this discussion before and it was established that all members were having their location reported as this same London postcode.

I don't think we ever got any 'official' answer, but best guess is that this forum is itself accessed through a proxy, perhaps via Cloudflare?

ahh ok didn't know it was discussed before. i don't know much/anything about this but does it not seem like a mass harvesting of IP/data ? as in all the eggs in one basket ?

IDC - I live in Leicester and am behind a VPN, harvest all you want!

BTW - if you get blocked message, just quote someone and post, seems to work for me.

so far i've had no issues but i still have concern over the 'recently used devices' which still hasn't been addressed.

it doesn't matter if you use a VPN. it's how admin/management use your given data en masse.

Does anyone think dormant accounts are dodgy - i.e. someone registers an account, but never seems to post anything? So those accounts are probably sitting there in readiness for sock puppet usage?

not that i've seen of recently. but there's an account created in march that tickled my interest. it was my forenames first letter along with my surname. but they haven't been in use. just one content count it says.

This is common knowledge isn't it? The problem is separating them from genuine, dormant accounts, which no doubt exist too.

I noticed new accounts appearing on the forum, over the last few months, with real sounding names picked as user names. It struck me as odd and I was going to mention it. However, I couldn't figure out what the reason might be. And, like you said yourself, some of them did have small content counts. It wasn't like in the latter years of the old 2006 forum, where loads of blatantly fake accounts, not sock accounts, were set up and never used for posting at all. How about the spooks managed to identify who was behind some of the accounts on here, then also set up accounts in their real names, so as to try and scare them off the forum? I think it is feasible.

Yes, I just mentioned it because I saw a couple of these logged in today.

In some forum formats you can see more areas if you have an account, but on one like this, it doesn't afford views of anything guest visitors can't see, so I thought it odd, that's all.

Thats quite silly to post .... anyone can find that .... you should edit that or have a mod do it!

I have, in the past, addressed this multiple time but I accept that some/many will not have read it :(

To make it easy (for me) if you read this page ....

https://www.cloudflare.com/learning/cdn/glossary/reverse-proxy/

Then you can comprehend what is happening.

I get the email every time I login as my system is setup to delete all data every time .... I just got multiple emails regarding it as I just logged in!

All of them are being looked at .... part of what the current 'time' is being used for.

It is interesting to see .... As accounts are banned then other accounts which haven't been posting .... suddenly start posting!

Makes me laugh :)

The forum was hacked / attacked and done in a professional and purposeful manner.

We are currently trying to fix it all.

Because the oligarchs who rule this world do not like it that Einstein's Special Relativity was debunked in January 2020. Their lie was exposed and they hate it. They deleted every post about it.

Mate .... they deleted over 100 thousand posts :(

It wasn't personal to you .... they dislike information being shared and from that shared information .... individual 'thought' being created!

then you re-create this realm .... ?

I think that the PTB do especially dislike being called out on things they haven't yet done. Sheeple are far more likely to be stirred from their slumber, by folks say 'x', 'y' and 'z' are going to happen, then soon seeing 'x', 'y' and 'z' actually happening.

I am also of the opinion that genuine, new accounts were 'perhaps' targeted in other ways too. I was going to make an effort to look into it properly, before the hack occurred. If we really get going again, then I will definitely do so.

Yes, and roughly at the same time of day and to the same extent. An easy spot. However, analysing shill account activity can get really deep. On the old forum, there was never a certain shill about, whenever Israel were playing football. :classic_laugh:

Do happen to know why all of those blatant, fake accounts were being automatically set up, literally on a daily basis, in the final years of the old 2006 forum? I never figured out what the motive was myself. Maybe just as an irritation? :classic_unsure:

There is a good point there.

If a plan is revealed before it's ready to be released, people can inject all sorts of 'thoughts' into that project...call it a wish.

You should never tell what you are planning to do before its time because others will inject their negativity and the project could fail. :classic_wink:

Obviously, if a project involves many people, things will get more complex and this is why compartmentalised approach works because nobody really know what it will be or where it's heading.

May be there is a PDF on forum tactics somewhere. Look for a chapter: Multiple dormant accounts. We should study. :classic_laugh:

Personally, I couldn't give a fuck now. If they wanna hide and attack, likewise, eye for an eye.

If I am correct and this wasn't even a hack, then what is the point of moving the home of our forum? If someone manages to somehow nefariously access the password of an administrator, externally of the forum, then you can have the most robustly defended forum in the universe and it still won't matter. Or are we moving because the new forum will be easier to back up? I am just trying to understand the logic of what is occurring.
