Is this because the case load will be mainly English Muslims who have adopted Sharia Law and it's courts over our legal and court system ?

I found 'Manchester Community Centre Ltd' on Companies House. It is a company limited by guarantee and its registered office is 271 Burton Road, West Didsbury, Manchester. That is the address of Didsbury Mosque.

According to its July 2019 incorporation documents, the company was created with the following objects:

Quote

1.1. To advance the Islamic religion in accordance with the teachings of the holy Quran and Sunnah of the prophet Mohammed (PBUH).

1.2. To advance Islamic education or awareness in accordance with the teachings (of the Prophet Mohammed peace be upon him) of the Quran and Sunnah by means of religious classes and otherwise.

Didsbury Mosque has a Sharia Department where presumably this role would fit. "The most important services provided by the Sharia department include:"

Quote

1. Issuing Fatwas

2. Issues related to the Muslim Family’s affairs in Britain.

Contracts:

1. Performing marriage contracts and sermons.

2. Arranging Islamic power of attorney contracts relating to marriages.

3. Issuing divorce certificates on behalf of the husband.

4. Issuing Khul’ certificates.

5. Issuing confirmation of Islam certificates for new Muslims.

Solving family disputes:
       * Issuing divorce resolutions in the following cases

1. Domestic abuse from the husband.

2. Irreconcilable disputes between husband and wife.

3. Abandonment of the wife by the husband.

4. Sexual problems.* Issuing Khul’ resolutions by the head of The Sharia Department in cases of the husband’s refusal.

Advice and consultations:
– Providing Sharia consultations regarding family disputes.
– Providing courses in family relations in Islam.

3. Other issues regarding general personal affairs:

Providing assistance writing Sharia compliant wills.

Distribution of inheritance according to Sharia.

4. The calculation of Zakat.

5. Financial Transactions:

Providing consultation and advice in financial disputes.

Devising commercial contracts compliant with Sharia.

Sharia adjudication in financial disputes.

6. Mediation between the different sections of the Muslim community in Great Britain.

7. Intervention to solve and assist with problems regarding child abscondance.

Farage has kicked off about this job advert today with Reform MP Laila Cunningham also suggesting it's "a government funded post paid for by British taxpayers to promote Sharia law on our soil. It’s disgusting." I don't think it's correct to say that this role is government funded - rather 'Manchester Community Centre', a private entity, is using the DWP's 'Find a Job' website to advertise it as many employers do.

Rupert Lowe has "formally questioned the DWP on what the hell they are playing at... We live in Britain - we do NOT have, or want, Shariah law. This is grim."

I'm not sure to what extent the DWP vets the adverts that are placed on its website but I think the push back on this one may force them to take it down.
