One part caught my attention… "If we manage to create synthetic body parts or even synthetic people, then who owns them. And who owns the data from these creations? " I just thought of the GM crops in America where seeds of GM crops blew into a near by field contaminating the natural crops and the natural crops then had to destroy it all as the GM crop is copyrighted/patented. peter Posted June 27 Share Posted June 27 Yes I have often wondered about that ,you can't patent a natural substance however if it is geneticly altered you can then apply for a patent .
