Grumpy Owl
4 hours ago, HAARPING_On said: They'll be coming for UK Column next, absolute certainty. :-/ The UK Column website would be fine, other sites are only restricting access in the UK where they feel they can't effectively 'police' and moderate "user-submitted content". So that really applies to video/image sharing websites, as well as article comments sections, and discussion forums, such as this one.

JONJAY79
Yes we know what's coming . Slowly we will be cut off . Censorship and digital prison. Maybe Vernon coleman and John looney was right. Are they going to use illegals as the foot soldiers in exchange for full British citizenship? Is our government going to align with Islam to force the Chinese style social credit system? I don't think it matters, as far as i am aware the Draco reptilian occupiers of our Parliament, acting much like the school bully at break time rifling the pockets of the other misfits for lunch money and giving them a fondle of their private bits at the same time, because who gives a phuck about privacy these daze, as the molesters that they surely are, have written the desecration of the, Law of Free Speech as it is a Right, in such a way that it only requires one complaint by a UK citizen accessing the web site/forum for the Right of Free Speech which is then seized upon by the a fore mentioned molesters to make great grift at extorting monies from said web site/forum based upon the complaint to the tune of EIGHTEEN MILLION POUNDS, due to hurty words presumably by someone looking for elevation in victim-hood mentality whom i am sure will get a slice of the extorted debased currency, at which point i can refer you back to my first reply. Campion
Gab.com has also been blocked in the UK due to government interference. "Access Restricted by Provider After receiving yet another demand from the UK's speech police, Ofcom, Gab has made the decision to block the entire United Kingdom from accessing our website. This latest email from Ofcom ordered us to disclose information about our users and operations. We know where this leads: compelled censorship and British citizens thrown in jail for "hate speech." We refuse to comply with this tyranny. Gab is an American company with zero presence in the UK. Ofcom's demands have no legal force here. To enforce anything in the United States, they'd need to go through a Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty request or letters rogatory. No U.S. court is going to enforce a foreign censorship regime. The First Amendment forbids it. Ofcom will likely try to make an example of us anyway. That's because the UK's Online Safety Act isn't about protecting children. It's about suppressing dissent. They're welcome to try. The idea that a British regulator can pressure a U.S. company that's IP-blocking the entire UK is as farcical as it is futile. If anything, it proves our point: censorship doesn't work. It only reveals the truth about the censors. We proudly join platforms like Bitchute in boycotting the United Kingdom. American companies should follow suit. The power of the UK's parliament ends where the First Amendment begins. The only way to vote against the tyranny of the UK's present regime is to walk away from it, refuse to comply, and take refuge under the impervious shelter of the First Amendment. The UK's rulers want their people kept in the dark. Let them see how long the public tolerates it as their Internet vanishes, one website at a time." The other day Gerrish said something like "the Russian and Chinese governments have done so much for humanity and could do more still if it wasn't for the sanctions the evil West has imposed". I don't know if he says things like that often as I don't listen to UK Column much because I can't stomach it, I find the brown-nosing of Putin and Xi absolutely nauseating. The UK government won't touch them because their tankie world view aligns perfectly with many in the Labour establishment. The other day I read that the union leader of the tube strikes in London, Eddie Dempsey, is also another pro-Russian tankie who was photographed with Russian thugs in Donbas and calls them heroes fighting against "evil fascist capitalist NATO".
