For comparison, here's how the Oath stands right now:

The current British Oath of Allegiance is a pledge of loyalty to the monarch, King Charles III, and his heirs and successors. It is taken by Members of Parliament (MPs), judges, military personnel, police officers, and new British citizens, among others.

The standard wording of the Oath of Allegiance is:

"I swear by Almighty God that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to His Majesty King Charles, his heirs and successors, according to law. So help me God."

For those who do not wish to swear a religious oath, there is an alternative affirmation:

"I do solemnly, sincerely, and truly declare and affirm that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to His Majesty King Charles, his heirs and successors, according to law."

Different versions exist for specific roles. For instance, judges take an additional Judicial Oath promising to serve the King and uphold the law fairly. Some religious groups may substitute "Almighty God" with references to their own faith, such as "Allah" for Muslims or "Guru Nanak" for Sikhs.

I have set up hourly Signature Count tracking for this petition and will post occasional charts as the votes progress.
