Reading Twitter posts without a Twitter account.

I don't pretend to be a great techie, but for those who weren't yet aware, I am pleased to announce that Nitter is back. Whatever it was that scuppered it, about a year or so ago, has now been fixed. What really peeved me off was that Twitter was supposed to still allow so-called 'Public Body' accounts to be visible, when it came to non-Twitter users. However, unless I was being really dumb, all of the tweets I could see that were made by 'Public Body' accounts were non-chronological. A total mishmash of tweets and completely useless for anyone who only wanted to see recent tweets.

Nitter, an alternative Twitter front-end, is back online after being down for about a year. It allows users to read Twitter posts without an account and without tracking. The issue that previously disrupted its functionality has been resolved. While Twitter was supposed to keep "Public Body" accounts visible to non-users, posts often appeared non-chronological, making it difficult to follow recent updates. Nitter offers a solution for those who prefer a chronological, ad-free browsing experience.

This is a common issue with Twitter's algorithm-driven timeline, which often prioritizes engagement over chronological order. Even for public accounts, Twitter's default behavior can make it difficult to follow tweets in a straightforward, time-based sequence. Nitter, on the other hand, typically displays tweets in chronological order, which is one of the reasons many people prefer it.

That's great news! It's good to hear that Nitter is back and functioning again. The non-chronological display of tweets from 'Public Body' accounts on Twitter can indeed be frustrating, especially for those wanting to stay updated with recent posts. Nitter provides a much more user-friendly experience for viewing tweets chronologically. Thanks for sharing the links!

What are the key differences in how Nitter displays tweets from 'Public Body' accounts compared to Twitter?
