I think I had a letter through the post a while back regarding this.

 

I read through it, and after I had carefully considered its content...

 

 

...it went in the recycling bin along with all the other junk mail.

Slightly off topic (happy to move this post if so), but there's another one doing the rounds called the Discover Me study  https://www.discovermestudy.com/   . which specifically uses your DNA profile.  It's happening in the UK and South Africa, partners with GPs, and just uses a saliva sample rather than blood.  The sweetener to draw you in is they say they will give you your DNA ancestry information free, which otherwise costs around £80.

I wonder what they would do if I used my cat's saliva ...
