Mr H
Does life get better as you get older? Like, since I can remember Ive always been the youngest in the room. People would say, "young maaan". I would be the first to jump out of my seat if I thought someone else needed it. At work, I was the young cheeky chappy. The youngest in the sports teams. Everywhere I looked, all I could see was my fresh face with rosey cheeks, you know.. Then as the years go on, your mind doesn't and you see young folks and part of you still thinks you're one of them. Until one sweet morning, you get on the train and people start offering YOU the seat! You then walk into work and notice, no one's saying " young maaaan" anymore to you. You look at the faces, the red rosey cheeks you yourself once had, is now merely a reflection, radiating from the youthful cheeks surrounding you! And you Fink.. "Oh, sh*t. I think I might be getting a bit old!" My long held dream of getting with Cindy Crawford is probably over! You look her up one last time and realise she's fricking 80 years old now herself! And it makes you feel EVEN older! Has anyone else had this? Do I need to buy a Harley Davidson?

I'm not as physically active as I used to be, but my mind is still young, and I think that's what matters most. Whenever younger folk take the piss out of me I just brush it off and say, 'Well, at least I've reached this age, yet you don't know if you ever will!' Positive thinking. That's the name of the game.

Maybe resilience is the name of the game and you certainly need positive thinking for that to work well. You might like a Harley if you move to somewhere else e.g. open roads, amazing vistas, good weather. Possibly you are in the midst of your andropause (hence all your questions) or maybe you just think too much

Anti Facts Sir
People don't believe me when they ask or are told my age. I struggle to believe it myself sometimes. Sure ain't positive thinking that's kept me looking young!

I was thinking along the lines of the Ayurvedic concept - the qualities/doshas of the mind. gregory-peccary
Of course you need a Harley! If you like daft old motorbikes but want to ride something modern and reliable then a Harley is closest to the old bikes. I have 3 of them including a daft old one! And a new Ducati that is all my rose-tinted memories of my old Bonnie made in metal. One thing to note: if you have never had a bike in the past you will mourn for all those years you never rode. If you did have a bike you will regret whatever it was that made you stop riding. I have not been without a bike since I was 17. Or buy a saxophone, they are good fun and can make a god-awful noise!
Duewy
Aging out This is where my minds activities are constantly being held back because of my physical limitations. An auto accident has limited my perspectives for decades and the additional debilitations of age has been less than enjoyable. I often joke that when I get to those pearly gates I will ask what happened to the 120 years that we were clipped down to.
