Consider it to be a tourist price thinking that you are some kind of good ass uncle sam gringo from America that arrived on a banana boat! so you should ask for the price in Pesos as you are not American and do not understand $ (unless you are in Argentena where they trade $) I good tip hear is if you are a native speaking English person is to say you are from South Africa, As they dont have much money down there nor do they have much dealing with them either What did you pay when you went to Pucallpa? if you dont mind me asking. How many days ceremonially was it? All of south America accepts dollars as well as local currency. Yes you can haggle for most purchasing items in latin America. For Ayahuasca in Peru it's all tourist prices. Locals traditionally do not drink Ayahuasca. Rather the shaman who trains for years drinks it, gives a diagnosis , then cures the patient via a strict 6 month diet specific to their condition. Prices I paid similar to website I provided above. You have to go properly deep into the jungle to find those folks.

My only advice to you reading your posts, is to ensure this is right for you. Why are you doing it? Etc It would be a mistake to read David's experience and think yours will be similar. Also be aware many people report not experiencing that much first few times they do it. So something to be aware of also. Good luck on your decision

In Peru it's like a medical science for healing and growth, in Brazil it's more like a big party with weed and other stuff going on. Do you know which the major ayahuasca towns in Brazil are? Usually buy from site direct. LATAM for internal. Just decide if you want mountains (pisaq) or jungle (Iquitos) Personally I prefer doing it where the plant grows - the jungle ( even though mosquitoes & spiders get on my nerves sometimes) and do San Pedro in the mountains where it grows. But that's just me, sure it won't make much difference. GL Edited March 20 by Mr H

But it would appear that (like most thing now) they just dont exist!. everything seams to be a flat rate now. Travel by plain works out about 23c/ mile anywhere. But a plain uses most of its fuel taking off. When its up in the air that high up there is only 5% atmosphere so little air/wind resistance, hence it hardally uses any fuel at all. It is like all the air line are a monopolization! I am unaware of the geography, but I know Pisaq is high up. Weather much grows up there I do not know! Captain Bog Rodge
As I have been reading "The Trap". At this point I read about "The gate of the gods"/ Puerta de Hayu Merca" And decided that I should post a bit about it hear as its in Peru and not so far from where DI did his ayahuasca trip In "The Trap" he says he was in a group of people and the group heard a man in pain screaming as he had been cast a spell by the demands. DI said he approched the ill man, put his hand on his head and absorbed the demand, He said (in the book) he over come the demand by over looking it by its weakest fears and the demand left I too wonder that if I had a trip on ayahuasca and I met the wrong enterties that I wanted to meet such as demonds that I too could get rid of them with confrontng then with such emotions of love and joy as opposed to hiding from them Anyway this place the "The gate of the gods"/ Puerta de Hayu Merca" reminds me from a while ago. I remember some bloke on YT called (might be wrong) Jerry Wills who went to the door and chanted 3 notes at it while holding his hand on the door, was granted access to it and went in. He said it was like a white space where he was laying in the middle of nowhere and a gate keeper greeted him and he said he was from a planet call earth and the gate keeper said he knew the planet well. Any way dont remember much more and probably a BS story as someone who could make a quick $/ name for them selfs on YT. But he said he returned to earth though the door and that many others have hand around the door (human and non human) and some have passed though, claims made by locals he said! I though about making a fresh thread about this one, But since most of my thread starters have no replies, I though why should I bother, since no one seams to be really interested in really taking the big dive into it all and would rather just talk about in on a computer screen dressed up as the internet

Pisaq, usually warm in day, cold at night. Jungle, hot hot 24/7 + mossies, spiders etc... Both are awesome but extremely different.
