Kambo is the frog medicine folks burn into their skin. Totally legal and extremely popular at the moment. Group or practitioner in most towns these days.

They get the idea from their trips to Iquitos etc and are all into their Aya and some organize small events. Where they get their Kambo from same place you can get Aya from - they have contacts....

i just sent you a pm

When you say diet for 3 weeks; do you mean fast with no food for 3 weeks?

I dont know what you mean by purging!

If you don't know what a purge is you shouldn't be doing Ayahuasca. A purge is a cleansing of all the dark shit you have buried in your soul. The stuff you like to keep hidden, painful emotional stuff. You could see demons or other dark stuff depending on your own mental and emotional state. If you have a lot of trapped stuff, you will find it and have to face it, most likely.

Its not a happy little trip. This is why people are sick on it. If this sounds like fun to you, then you already have issues.

If you go into this like its a day out, you will be in for a painful time. It can last for many hours. This is why it's done with shamans in ceremony, so they can guide you through it.

Absolutely this. And it's something you should meditate on and give serious consideration.

Whenever I go in retreat, majority are serious. But you always get 1 or 2 on there who are pretty clueless and went to get high, or have a cool drug experience or they saw it on the telly.

These people usually get a rude awakening 1st ceremony and end up sitting out the rest.

This is like any other medicine/drug. Because once you go under you have to fully surrender and you have zero control over the experience.

It usually takes quite a few painful sessions to dissolve the ego before you experience anything remotely pleasurably or "cool".

And the pleasurable bit is never a guarantee.

If you want cheap then, just turn up to a town renown for Aya, Pucullpa, tarapoto, iquitas, Pisaq. And just join a day ceremony for $100 or less. Or but it yourself in the street market for $20. Depends what you are looking for.

First question I wanted to ask you is which town did you say you used to go to?

And might of been you or someone ells said; that Aya is made from two different plants that you can either pick from the jungle or buy from the market. Do you know what they are?

Thanks

It is what it is...

Definitely hardest thing I've had to do mentally.

Only do it when I really really need it. I wouldn't do it for fun...

Pucullpa is where I have done it.

The Ayahuasca "hubs" i.e. towns where you go there and the city is based around Ayahuasca, with ceremonies going on every day.

Are:

Pucullpa

Tarapoto

Iquitos

Pisaq

In these places you have the option of just turning up joining a ceremony on the cheap or buying it in markets or expensive retreats plenty of options for all budgets in those areas. Only expensive retreats you will find info online. For cheap local ceremonies there are posters all around towns and signs up.

Two plants Psychotria viridis shrub and Banisteriopsis caapi vine.

Difference between those towns...

Pucullpa - very safe small city in jungle, both modern and traditional city

Tarapoto - very small traditional run down jungle city

Iquitos - bit of wild west. Lots of partying, sex and drugs and crime as well as the Ayahuasca stuff. Lots folks going for girls there. No roads go there, have to fly or boat in

Pisaq - very peaceful beautiful town in mountains.

Retreats in the first 3 won't be in the towns themselves, normally couple hours boat ride away somewhere quiet and peaceful.

Just to clarify on the spelling that we have the right towns hear (as they could be very small hamlets if spelling wrong)

Pucullpa Pucallpa

Tarapoto

Iquitos

Pisaq Pisac Near (Cusco/ Taray ,must be quite a small place as not well on the map

**Edit!** the map is the suggested ayahuasca Towns (for anyone new reading this thread)

Wikipedia states that the Source plants are Liana and Banisteriopsis caapi. And that Parts of plant Stems of the Banisteriopsis caapi and Leaves of the Psychotria viridis

So Liana, Banisteriopsis caapi, Psychotria viridis. So thats 3 plants/ trees

Liana Tree                                             Banisteriopsis caapi                            Psychotria viridis

I would not mind paying to go to a local ceromony first. Then buying some on the market of the above plants to take on there on after. If there was only a way I could ship some home to the UK that is

Do you know what it would cost to buy from the market by any chance?

So are you saying that in Tarapoto that they dont live like we do in the west? I mean House made of bricks and mortar and roads made of tarmac/ cement with main electric water and sewerage system in place. And in Pucullpa, some do live like this and some dont?

Any way found this video about DMT

Now he seams to recon that the character a person meets while on DMT are figments of the imagination. Because the brain can create a personality based upon emotion (mean our self) So the brain can create other character while on this trip, though I think the admin of this site would dispute that (see his last 3 books)

People are stupid, if they spent time learning to meditate, its better than any synthetic high.

Jordan P is part of the agenda and spouts some extremely manipulative stuff. He's a fake guru.

I have no idea where he did it. I suspect Cuzco/Pisaq from what he mentioned about mountains before but not sure.

A lot of jungle town folk live in makeshift dwelling with normal dwellings close to town.

For Pucullpa I flew into Pucullpa.

Yes all drugs are easily available in Peru if you seek it. Cocaine in particular is rife in Peru.

Girls who will be your friend for the week if you buy them stuffs.

Yes Iquitos has reputation for drugs, craziness, girls, partying and crime. As well as dropping off point for Ayahuasca retreats.

Yes. Standard price is approx $100 or less

countries like this with an unknow currency usually charge you a lot more when its in $. Consider it to be a tourist price thinking that you are some kind of good ass uncle sam gringo from America that arrived on a banana boat! so you should ask for the price in Pesos as you are not American and do not understand $ (unless you are in Argentena where they trade $)

I good tip hear is if you are a native speaking English person is to say you are from South Africa, As they dont have much money down there nor do they have much dealing with them either

What did you pay when you went to Pucallpa? if you dont mind me asking. How many days ceremonially was it?
