I was under the impression that he went to  a native settlement in a rain forest in Brazil. I did not relise he went to some posh spar hotel in Peru until you posted that

Yes! I would not mind getting some myself. I though of going there as a holiday sometime myself. But that Hotel is mega $ and not really my cup of tea

It's in Iquitos in Peruvian jungle. 

 

Yes, they did numerous ceremonies there.

 

It's one of the popular commercial ones.

 

He had a good time for sure.

 

Not a super serious strict center though. Depends what experience you're looking for.

 

Quality of medicine there is very good though.

Deffo not spa. You stay in small huts called tambos in these places...

 

By not strict I mean. In strict places, you're not allowed to speak or wash, and for some of the ceremonies you will do in isolation.

 

This place is set up more for people starting their medicine journey, focus on safety and having positive experience. It's one of the best in that regard - reputationally. There will be lots of hugging, chatting and dancing and stuff.

 I never knew David went to Arkana until I Rd it on this thread. Just got my attention as I've been in plant medicines scene and spent much time in Peru and Arkana is very well known and my friend has been there.

 

When I heard David's story before I thought he was talking about the Sacred valley in Peru, and I had always assumed that where he drank the medicine as it's another popular place for it. 

 

Sacred valley is in totally different place to Iquitos in the mountains with the epicenter in Cuzco.

 

It's normally pretty expensive those large center ones, I expect a few grand, but you can Google their website for updated prices.

 

Not sure what you mean if they got any of the stuff? They had multiple Ayahuasca and I think kambo too whilst there.

Incidentally if you do it outside the big centers, and without the excursions, dancing, hugging stuffs, it's a lot cheaper. Around $50-100 / ceremony.

 

Or buy it legally in the markets there for $20 bucks and DIY

Yes. Ayahuasca and Huachuma (San Pedro cactus). Both legal. You can buy them at the market when you do your groceries. Or pick them yourself in nature.

 

In the mountains most folks will have San Pedro cactus outside their houses for protection.

 

Also legal in Ecuador, Brazil and Colombia. But not so readily available or popular as in Peru. ( Can't buy at the supermarket )

I have never taken Ayahuasca ,however the main ingredient is N-N- Dimethyl Tryptamine  which can be extracted from many different plants ,the high lasts from between 8-15 min when smoked, for those interested the process of extraction  may be found here  as well as a myriad of info on all types of plants and substances

Yes I had to make my own brew before. Involved cutting up 2 different plants and boiling them for a good while.

 

Aya bit different. Ceremonies last normally 5-6 hours. And you drink it.

 

I never smoked DMT myself.

you say only 8=15 minutes. I though when DI took it he was away with it all night?

Do you know anyone that has taken it?

Huachuma is the Quechua name for San Pedro cactus. It's a psychoactive plant medicines. It primarily works on the heart. It's much more gentle than Aya and no puking or pooing like with Aya but it lasts about 15 hours. It's called the father plant and Aya is the mother plant, with Huachuma grown in the light and taken in the daytime, Aya grows in the dark and is taken at nightime.

 

It's perfectly legal to own Huachuma cactus in UK, you're just not allowed to consume it. Similar to shrooms - you can grow them legally here, but not consume them.

I have never done DMT powder. Just Aya, Huachuma and shrooms. I don't think there's a big ceremony involves in smoking DMT it's a Western thing, you just need a sitter.

I don't think Aya is legal to grow and would be very difficult as it grows in the jungle. San Pedro would grow in our climate with bit if care....

 

Pretty much any dose of Aya will make you purge either vomiting or pooing. It's how you release bad energies/entities. 

 

There's another amazonian medicine called Bufo which comes from a frog. I never tried it but it's super intense apparently. Doesn't last too long.

 

In Africa they have Iboga again, super strong apparently

DMT is highly illegal in UK. As I said shrooms is legal to grow, you can buy the kits online. It's illegal to consume them.

Just before Xmass I went out and picked around 2.5Kg of mushrooms, two varieties, gold tops and blue meanies ,the only thing you have to watch out for apart from the poisonous mushrooms is the bloody snakes the place is full of them, nearly stepped on three (red belly blacks).

I get them home wash them to get the cow shit off ,pat them dry with a paper towel the into the dehydrator for three days on the lowest temp setting  then into a food processor to powder them then in into a sealed jar they will keep for years.
