Belief vs experience

The etymology of the word belief, originally meant "conviction of the truth of a proposition or alleged fact without knowledge".

The word came about hand in hand with the church. Because there was no evidence for what they were saying they had to.get people to "believe " in the stuff as a method of control.

Experience. Can take place from phenomenal experience via the senses or noumenal experience, beyond the 5 senses. Interpretations can be subjective but the experience itself is a real event and cultivates knowledge.

Therefore it seems more intelligent to.build a life framework based upon experience rather than belief if one is truly a truth seeker.

(And if one must live by beliefs, you might as well make them really good positive ones that help you in a practical sense.)
