The word came about hand in hand with the church. Because there was no evidence for what they were saying they had to.get people to "believe " in the stuff as a method of control. Experience. Can take place from phenomenal experience via the senses or noumenal experience, beyond the 5 senses. Interpretations can be subjective but the experience itself is a real event and cultivates knowledge. Therefore it seems more intelligent to.build a life framework based upon experience rather than belief if one is truly a truth seeker.
