here again it's a generic term that's not suitable for the use that's made of it... a 'racist' is someone who accounts for 'races' and makes a difference between them, so what's the problem once it's widely admitted that 'races' do exist ?

the true racists are those who invented this word and its derivations for their own use and convenience...

The regular outcome of ‘racism’ is apartheid, something that to my knowledge never existed as a state policy but in South Africa and North America if we agree on what human ‘races’ are supposed to be…

The English term “racism” goes back to a 1902 speech by the American Colonel Richard Henry Pratt, but I think it comes from French a bit earlier.

We may look much deeper into the roots and origins of the race term, but it can’t be denied that in English it may bear the same connotation as the homonym used to name a competition between drivers and their cars. Obvious connotation to evolution and Darwin’s theory as well, and the fact of comparing and ordering human groups or individuals according to their ‘value’ and performances makes the racism concept boil down to elitism, a true ‘art’ and a religion in the 18th and 19th centuries Europe.

Amidst countless logies and their self-claimed logists popping-up along with such other scams as vaccination in a 19th century that’s the root of all evil, there was a brand new pseudo-science pretending to define and classify these human groups and beings in regard to their degree of ‘civilization’, their physical appearance and such other subjective criteria, the precursor and future subsection of that science being ethnology

Lévi-Strauss often referred to Montaigne's essay on cannibalism as an early example of ethnology. Lévi-Strauss aimed, through a structural method, at discovering universal invariants in human society, chief among which he believed to be the incest taboo. (Wiki)

But whith our eminent logist dropping the invariant concept then it all switches from ethnology to plain anthropology and racism. Lending cannibalistic habits and customs to some people and civilizations living beyond the seas as well as accusing them of practicing ritual incest or killing-off their elders was nothing else than pure racism, let alone when none of these allegations were ever backed-up with facts.

In order to answer the question of "what is racism", one has to try and define what 'race' actually means.

How many races of human are there really?

From observation, there are perhaps three or four 'distinct' ones:

African 'blacks'

Oriental Asians ('yellows')

'Red' (Browns?)

'White' (pale skins?)

I read about this in an old book from Victorian times. Over the years since then there has probably been some 'blending' of cultures, and some 'mixed-race breeding'.

But for the most part, there are still these four clearly observable differences between races amongst humans now.

Having some kind of irrational fear or hatred for someone not from the same race as you is 'racist'.

But the term 'racist' has become so widespread and devalued now, as to mean anyone who just doesn't like anyone who looks different to them.

Apparently the English are racist towards the Scots, Irish and Welsh, and likewise the Welsh, Scots and Irish are racist towards each other.

And amazingly the English, Scots, Welsh and Irish are also racist towards Poles, Romanians and Albanians etc.

Indians and Pakistanis are 'racist' to each other  as well.

As for the Chinese, Koreans and Japanese, well your guess is as good as mine. I guess that North American native indians are not so keen on us whiteys as well.

I have no idea why there are clearly different races of human being on this planet, but at the end of the day that is a true fact, and without agitators trying to stir up hatred and division, we could probably all get along together and share resources with each other.

If any English language person may come-up with an explanation as to why the race term was used in English to name both a competition and a ‘human kind’ then welcome…

Because it appears that the race term was used in the 16th France already as a reference to a noble ancestry or lineage, from the Latin radix referring to the root and which fathered the French racine

Race as a prime concept therefore was related to nothing but origins were they historical, biblical or ancestral, and it’s very doubtful that it was ever applied to the peasant race… However it brings back to elitism either way, and with its use extending to the pleb and common people then it became racism, because the pleb doesn’t have a noble ancestry to claim for…

Anthropologists and nobody else coined and promoted the racism concept at the  19th century, anthropology having been invented as an attempt to justify colonialism and slavery.

Racism is attacking people based on race then ironically also pioneering anti racism propaghanda 'white privilege 🙄 ' to shield and protect the racist agenda from too much scrutiny.
