"Just when I think I have learned the way to live, life changes and I am left the same. The more things change the more I am the same. I am what I started with, and when it is all over I will be all that is left of me."

LIMELINK - Visualizing Crowd Sizes

https://blog.lime.link/visualizing-crowd-sizes/

If you are going to perform in front of an audience it's fun to visualize how big that audience size looks like. Here are some crowd size (again, pictures at link) examples;

50 people - fills up a room.

100 people - speaking in front of this many people makes me nervous.

150 people - the average podcast has 150 listeners.

250 people - fills a small church or lecture hall.

500 people - fills a theatre.

1000 people - fills a huge theatre to capacity.

3000 people - time to go outside 😁

10,000 people - fills a stadium.

20,000 people - the O2 Arena in London

30,000 people - Waldo Stadium.

50,000 people - Aloha Stadium.

75,000 people - Notre Dame Stadium.

100,000 people - Michigan Stadium.

180,000 people - Texas Motor Speedway.

"I've always believed that it's important to show a new look periodically. Predictability can lead to failure."

- T. Boone Pickens

AVC writes : Therein lies the problem. A clash of interests forming barriers to keep the roots of a certain fame intact and earning 'in-character' (living up to what people have come to expect..stereotype).

Then you have the struggle to break free and have a go at celebrity in things you are not so well known for or identify with public perceptions of your persona.

Like when famous actors start drawing crowds as musicians and vis-versa. The public mind is hardwired to good compositions, no matter who you were before, music can put you squarely back in the 'zone'.

They tell me it's easy as mixing those notes, rests, and lyrics in the blender on 'Hi' and you might have the next hit. 😁

"In describing today's accelerating changes, the media fire blips of unrelated information at us. Experts bury us under mountains of narrowly specialized monographs. Popular forecasters present lists of unrelated trends, without any to show us their interconnections or the forces likely to reverse them. As a result, change itself comes to be seen as anarchic, even lunatic."

"It ought to be remembered that there is nothing more difficult to take in hand, more perilous to conduct, or more uncertain in it's success, than to take the lead in the introduction of a new order of things. Because the innovator has for enemies all those who have done well under the old conditions, and lukewarm defenders in those who may do well under the new. This coolness arises partly from fear of the opponents, who have the laws on their side, and partly from the incredulity of men, who do not readily believe in new things until they have had a long experience of them."

"Life humbles you. As you grow old, you stop chasing the big things and start valuing the little things. Alone time, enough sleep, a good diet, long walks, and quality times with loved ones. Simplicity becomes the ultimate goal."

- Higher Dimension

Simplicity and complexity are a symbiotic pair. To simplify anything you must have understood it in it's complex form.

Distilling a complexity where the drops coming out at the other end of the still are beautiful golden drops that can be readily assimilated by laymen is extremely gratifying.

Especially when weaponized complexity is concealing things that are in a layman's best interests to know.

Complexity used as a shroud.

Complexity used to keep nosey people in the dark.

Simplifying those has the added benefit of exposing them if they are hiding a false claim.

The layman rarely has time to look into complex things and they certainly appreciate when someone offers them a chance to see the process simply.

"Unlike debunking, which is supposed to correct false information, 'prebunking' is a dystopian concept of an 'arbiter of truth' controlling the narrative by influencing how people perceive information about certain topics, in essence, 'training' the public in advance to react to information in the desired way."

"The terms 'smurfing' and 'structuring' are sometimes used interchangeably in the context of money laundering. In some ways they refer to the same action: dividing up large amounts of money before depositing or moving them in order to avoid regulatory reporting on them."

Next a terrific score to the movie, 'To Live And Die In LA' starring Willem DaFoe. The plot involves counterfeiting and money laundering and police investigations;

"Back in the days when men were hunters and chest beaters and women spent their whole lives worrying about pregnancy or dying in childbirth, they often had to be taken against their will. Men complained that women were cold, unresponsive, frigid. They wanted their women wanton. They wanted their women wild. Now women were finally learning to be wanton and wild - and what happened? The men wilted."
