I saw Joe Jackson play in Sydney ,I thought it would be so so as there was no guitar ,two keyboards, drummer, 5 string bass and him singing and playing sax, it was an excellent show and the bass player killed it

Lucky you! I have "Stepping Out" in my regular playlists.

She possessed the musical and sexual energy to conquer whatever man might attempt to tame her.

"Don't You Answer Your Phone" she commanded a lover on 1975's "Shut Off the Light", "Just Let It Ring- Just Shut Off the Light".

I saw these three play plus Steve Morse just through shear luck, they each did a set by themselves and then all of them together ,simply brilliant

Before we were married I took the better half to dinner in Sydney and afterwards I said do you want to catch a movie so we started walking towards the picture theaters which took us past the Sydney town hall,there was a small blackboard sign  that said $10 a head few door tickets left and the names of the artists,I couldn't believe it we got two tickets and lined up the couple in front were escorted up the back to seats behind a large concrete pillar  ,I said to Marg this will be good ,the person came back to escort us to our seats and we and we ended up about 5 rows back right in the middle,talk about lucky

In all things music the performer is the messenger and the song is the message. How does the reader feel about a beloved song suddenly associated with a musician's scandalous behavior, does one adopt a negative view of the song? Personally, when I appreciate art I am not necessarily endorcing unbecoming behavior from the artist.

Here he performs a few abbreviated hits live on The Ed Sullivan Show. Although not complete songs you can feel the energy and drive of the "wild man of rock and roll" ;

Corvettes with big block 457 V8s and breathers above the hood and a dizzying array of period muscle cars would converge for a backyard bbq party. Gorgeous and outrageous was the buzz. A music bubble encapsulated those moments. The Hollies were enjoying their big hit,

"Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress" ;

At the concert at Place des Arts in Montreal the crowd got up and danced in place for this song. It was brilliantly executed and the sound audit was a breeze in this venue for symphony orchestra concerts.

Next we discover that God is a musician that has taken the form of Eric Clapton. A prodigy in voice and guitarist, this man's songs are associated with so many pleasant memories. An incredible career. His moniker a tad blasphemous though😁

Here he is live in the official video to the song "Forever Man" ;

How hard would it have been for this minister, this man of God, to hug his son Marvin and tell him how beautiful his voice and music are and tell him he loves him?

No appeals, no forgiveness, he shot Marvin. What could be so bad a father murders his own son and takes away from the world all the beautiful things he may have gone on to produce. Such a tragic waste.

"Whats Going On" ;

RIP Brother!

This next song by Tommy James and the Shondells became a source of amusement for me at wedding or anniversary receptions where the hired DJ would invariably play the Shondell's "Crimson and Clover". The fun was watching unsuspecting seniors lured to the dance floor by what appears at first to be a terrific slow dance and watch their confusion trying to adapt to the transition to a fast pace. It never failed 😁

On a lighter note Rodney Dangerfield starring in the Comedy "Caddyshack" alongside Chevy Chase and Bill Murray, is an eccentric free spirited wealthy dude in the midst of rigid conformity. This next video clip features Journey's hit "Any Way You Want It" ;

Stargate SG1 was a hugely successful televised science fiction series. A decade of adventures exploring other worlds through an antiquitech transportation portal ring called a Stargate. The theme score is bold and beautiful and interpreted here by The Prague Film Orchestra playing the "Stargate Suite" ;

U2 was a band I never really liked for some reason, I think Bono has shown his true allegiances in recent years,so maybe that's why. You know what they say about leopards and spots
