Lonalove
I'm just confused. The way David explains it, it just doesn't compute to my brain... If everything is waveform energy and nothing is physically real - how can all this other stuff exist - alien beings, etc? How do we know ANYTHING if our 5 senses create nothing but a lie? A tree falls and it makes no sound unless we are there to hear it? HOW?
Grumpy Grapes
Just because something is a 'lie' , it doesn't necessarily mean that it has no reality. A deceptive act still requires the deceiver and the deceived, who are real. Our world is very real, but so is the rest of Creation that we can't perceive. We can still learn lessons in this world.

A tree falls and it makes no sound unless we are there to hear it? HOW? Do you have a quote from David about this? To me it's all very confusing too. Energy is part of physical reality as far as I remember my Physics. Energy isn't fundamental anyway, energy is defined as the potential to do work, which is force x distance, and force is bound up with mass which means material reality. " A tree falls and it makes no sound unless we are there to hear it?" That's an old one which crops up in spiritual circles. It's meant to prove that there's no objective reality, things only exist which are observed, ie subjective. Here's my thoughts: Sound can exist as vibrations in the air, without anyone listening. When the vibrations enter your ear and get perceived as a sound, that's when it becomes subjective. If there's no-one to observe it, how do you know the tree exists and falls down anyway? Unless there's some evidence of what happens, the whole thing's just a story and not real anyway. So there's nothing to worry about!

All the things we believe are physical are really experienced via mind, but it seems physical. You cannot have a physical experience without mind, it doesn't exist outside mind. You can imagine the analogies if the dreamer or someone playing a VR game to try and comprehend. In the dream or Vr world anything can exist, parallel universe, alien, humans everything you could possibly imagine. Our 5 senses don't create a lie. They observe and register the properties of this earthly world experience through the limitations of the human mind - this world may appear very different to another experiencer with different mind and senses
Sanityisgone
Has it always been this way do you think? Or did something come here to guide us? I'm starting to feel like there is only one of two paths you can take, like fate or destiny. It's an interesting feeling because they say the universe is binary, like a code. It would make it easily possible Edited December 3, 2023 by Sanityisgone

I struggled to understand how we can have individual and collective exerience at the same time, because it goes against "scientific" thinking for me if you understand. Now I've just let go of things and realise it doesn't matter, actions louder than words/thoughts, everything seems to come together for me. I wonder if it's like self important thinking and the concept of time which makes it feel confusing until you just let go of these concepts and realise we just dont know?
