Has anyone used common law to withold income tax request?

If so, what was the process?

Ty.

Withholding income tax based on common law principles is generally not recognized or accepted by tax authorities.

I will recommend you to take advise from a qualified tax professional or lawyer specializing in tax law to understand the specific laws.

Yes.

I worked as an accountant/finance for 20 years, although not in tax, so have a decent understanding and it does seem like wishful thinking to me.

Banksters the rich etc desperately hate paying tax, and if there was this obvious loophole they would be doing it 100%

However, I do know some people who are not crazy who claim they have done this and it worked.

So if anyone else has, I would be interested to hear your experience.

Exercise caution when evaluating claims of effective tax loopholes. Tax regulations differ, and what may be applicable for one individual may not be relevant elsewhere. Seek advice from professionals and emphasize adherence to legal requirements. Governments depend on tax income, making foolproof tax avoidance improbable.
