Human monsters

The only kind we know unequivocally exist

Seems a waste of energy to scare children with stories

Of boogeymen, vampires, werewolves and all the bestiaries

When so many humans have replaced their humanity with sheer unadulterated evil monstrosity

 

How many are out there? How close is one to you right now?

Why do phobias exist of the natural world? When animals and situations are comparably tame

Compared to the feral insanity of the sadistically deranged

Rampant

Calculating

Chaotic

Disguised

 

Living in fear is of course not the answer, but a rational fear would be homosapiophobia

 

We're living in a time of cultural war

So many convinced the world can become better

If we all agree and conform to some novelty of identity

Rattling our sabers at the skeletons of our history

How does that stop a child killer, a torturer, a maniac, a slaughterer?

 

Wouldn't such types be enjoying the devils laughter?

To know that we're all busily at war with each other

Whilst they pick and choose victims as they come and go

Wolves smirking beneath their woolen clothes

At the discord that's sewing itself through the herd of lambs, ewes and rams

 

If you came upon one and said "Do you agree, that life must be the way that I see?" They will surely say "Why of course I agree, there's nothing more I want than for everyone to see what you see and come to agree, we are allies in this, peace is our destiny"

Whilst inside they sharpen their knives

Advance their plans

To make a symphony of agony

Making trophies out of children, women and men

 

So how do we fight a war against evil?

The answer may be found in the halls of faith

But their practitioners may also be playing this game, as so many surely have

So perhaps a science must be combined

With the conviction that you cannot save everyone

Unless you take those who cannot be saved from the cancer of their hate

And feed them unto flames, real or figurative

They feel no shame of their human disfiguring

 

What would happen if was developed a method

To determine the intent that hides behind masks?

Say we found out that it's a percentage closer to 20 than 10

What would we do with that cold light of revelation in hand?

 

Beg the government for another lockdown?

Social distance ourselves?

Evil is a virus much harder to find, than a microscopic lifeform

 

But it's never once become the onus, the point, the focus

To fully weed the garden of earth from the strangling poison that is the antithesis of evolution

 

Is it because we are blinded by our grand purposes and desires?

Or are we simply not smart enough to synthesize a detector?

That's just one idea of course and not one that just occurred

But surely there are methods to be found if we observed

The fates that no being deserves

More than the ones we all want

 

Any way you slice it

There's a lot of rot in the fruit
