CrowintheSnow Posted May 15 Share Posted May 15 Imagine this: I am outside in the garden, doing jobs out there. I use an old worn out black builder's bucket I've had for many years. I had to work on clearing a drain yesterday and discovered that my good old trusty bucket didn't hold water any more. I reckoned that pretty soon, I'd probably have to buy a new one. Now bear in mind that those thoughts were just thoughts. I did not : tell anyone, email that to anyone, talk about it on the phone, or even talk to myself about it! Bear in mind I don't have CCTV, I don't have Alexa or anything similar. I keep my phone switched off most of the time and my laptop shut down and wi-fi off if I'm not using it. (which I'm not for all those hours in the day until the evening.) I have no other techie gadget in my possession. And I live in "the middle of nowhere" Nearest neighbour is 1/4 mile away , and there are certainly no CCTV's around here. There are no street lights, it's that remote. No possible surveillance going on. Okay, so this evening I put on Microsoft news and browsed the news items on that page. Ads come up there too. A big unmissable ad was for a black builder's bucket 14 litre. Identical to the old one I have. As a one-off, that must be coincidence -right? Except it's not a one-off. This kind of weird thing is happening all the time. It is happening at least twice a week. I merely think of something, and an ad will pop up in the course of the evening or next evening related to what I have thought. Now usually ideas like I've been wondering about belong in the land of schizophrenia. I know that. I am not schizophrenic and have never been accused of being so. This is happening so often, it's clear to me it's not "normal". WTF is tailoring ads to something I just "thought about"? It sort of stopped when I stopped using the internet for a period of a few years. Now ‘it’ shows me in a different way, it used to be products or aspects of my personal life, now it’s mostly new people I associate with, for example, a woman who is a customer of my small business designs and sells jewellery, now all the ads I get on Google or apple are for womens jewellery. If you stop using the internet it sort of loses your location or brainwaves or whatever- it becomes less interested in you. It can’t fill in the gaps of your absence, so it automatically moves on to something it can quantify or has data on, in my case new people and their lives. I remember when I was on holiday for two weeks in Jamaica where I never used the internet & didn't have a mobile phone, I felt more alive than ever. For what it's worth I don't believe in coincidences but having said that strange shit does happen but the mechanism that allows the strangeness to happen is beyond me. However I have an idea but it is rather sparse with regards concrete evidence and consists of a mishmash of Harramien's work coupled with the concept of universal consciousness. Yup, I’ve just had a week off from using this thing as I ran out of data, so no internet. Felt more peaceful and at ease. Theres something to be said for luditism. It really helped, the salt water, the air, I even felt the subtle magnetic pull of the forest I drove through on the way there, something lifted off of me. It’s the environment you’re in too, if it changes so do the effects and benefits. Really need a proper holiday, my body is exhausted from trying to earn a crust.
