Scenes from a Vatican sponsored gathering of the world's religious leaders in Rome on October 20th of 2020, the International Meeting of Prayer For Peace:
'No One is Saved Alone. Peace and Fraternity'".

Note: Some parties who lobby "against ecumenism" do so in order to advance their own political goals.
These people are viewed as opportunists in Christian circles.

Philippians 3:18 Context

15Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. 16Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. 17Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. 18(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) 20For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: 21Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Spiritual opportunism refers to the exploitation of spiritual ideas (or of the spirituality of others, or of spiritual authority): for personal gain, partisan interests or selfish motives. Usually the implication is that doing so is unprincipled in some way, although it may cause no harm and involve no abuse. In other words, religion becomes a means to achieve something that is alien to it, or things are projected into religion that do not belong there.

What is the political value of religion according to Machiavelli?

Although Machiavelli's politics might be evasive, his views on religion appear to be fairly consistent throughout his writing career. In The Prince, Machiavelli refers to religion as a tool of the ruler, to be used as a method by which he can convince the masses of his benignity.

Here's one person's response;

"I didn't quite know what ecumanism was a while back when you told me about it.. didn't sound so bad to me - entirely.. although you made very good points against it so I was thinking a lot about it.

Now I realize the vatican has spread the evil of this movement, merely to being all tribes under the rule of one world religion for the NWO. Whether by "alien" deception, or by false return of Christ, or charasmatic ruler who unites all "traditional religions".. it will all be done to serve the anti-christ, and it will be false, and it will be evil. Now I understand what I didn't quite grasp back then... this movement is directed against Christ, not as a way to gather all people in service to him."

To learn more about ecumenism and how it relates to biblical prophecy review the links below.

"There are, in essence, two levels of ecumenism. In the extreme case, the highest level of ecumenism even encompasses non-Christian faiths. Christians, Jews, Moslems, Hindus, American Indians…they all unite in worship. These religions do not even claim to worship the same God, and yet they serve together. Venerate both Christ and Buddha as God in one service?! This is impossible! There are appalling videos showing all these different faiths performing their religious ceremonies as part of one big inter-communal service. Then there are those who attempt to join together all Christian religions into one faith. They would be horrified at the idea of a service with Hindus and Christians celebrating together, yet they do not bat an eyelash at the idea of Orthodox celebrating with Roman Catholics, who with no authority broke off from the Church close to a thousand years ago." Read More
