Truthblast
Don't know if anyone has noticed: - Everyone has the same AI Chatbots at the same time - Everyone has the same quadcopter drones at the same time - Everyone has the same 4K/8K TVs at the same time - Everyone has the same Game Consoles at the same time - Everyone has the same VR/AR Glasses at the same time - Everyone has the same Wind Turbines at the same time - Everyone has the same Smartphones at the same time - Everyone has the same Laptops at the same time - Everyone has the same AI Image Generators at the same time Normally, there should be tons of disruptive and unexpected innovation which bucks these trends from different countries and different minds. But where is it - everybody is doing similar shit at the exact time it seems? Are there no innovators left who operate OUTSIDE corporate "Megatrends"? Inventors who do things earlier than the industry SHEEP? Have they all been killed? Have they all been defunded? Are the creative geniuses of the world being harrassed or blackmailed? Only 10% of PATENTS actually make it to market statistically. So 90% of ALL new patented inventions are so SHITE that they get ignored? Huh? And why does everyone BIG always have the SAME product READY TO SELL when a TREND starts? Who tells 20 big companies in different countries WHEN WHAT TREND is coming? Isn't this COLLUSION, CARTEL BEHAVIOUR and INSIDER TRADING if the companies are PUBLICLY TRADED? Bill: "Geoff, in 2026 XYZ trend is going to be big!" Geoff: "Thanks Bill. I better start buying stock in ABC companies then!" In the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s there were MAVERICK inventors, innovators and entrepreneurs who tried NEW things. Since 9/11 there has been a dramatic reduction in companies throwing unusual left-field ideas on the market. Who is directing this GLOBAL SYMPHONY OF SAMENESS? 1
EnigmaticWorld
I can understand what you're getting at with AI, but I don't understand what you mean with the other products as specs can differ quite a bit. Most of the time companies are just wating for the right cost to performance ratio with CPUs before they release new products, and there's only so many CPU manufacturers that are making chips that are good enough to advance things. Drones are pretty similar, but I'm not sure what unique features you could add to a drone. TVs are obviously similar because they're limited by the current display technology. Games consoles are not that similar as they all cater to different audiences. Nintendo has the wholesome family gaming market. Sony often has a lot of big story driven singleplayer games. Microsoft is popular for Xbox Live multiplayer titles. VR headsets are pretty similar tech wise, but Oculus and the likes of HTC cater to different audiences. I don't know enough about wind turbines to comment on those. There is actually quite a bit of choice with smartphones, but most people go for the big brand ones that are full of bloat and spyware instead of supporting smaller companies that try to make a difference. You can obviously root some phones too. Laptops differ in specs quite a bit, but I guess most people use Microsoft or Apple operating systems instead of alternatives. I have a fairly decent MSI gaming laptop, but it mostly collects dust and only really gets used when I'm travelling. I prefer building desktops. Or at least the electronics, and tho there's different specs for phones, tablets and laptops, there's not so many different microprocessors inside them. Designing a new deviant system without a Chinese production line already in place is probably too expensive.

In electronics with screens, there are 3D holographic Lightfield displays available which nobody puts in their products. In wind turbines all sorts of new and better wing shapes are possible, there is academic research on it, but nobody implements these innovations. In cars and EVs there are ways to brake a car in an emergency that involve something other than the 4 tires, but again no manufacturer goed there.

What do you think the reason is? A cost issue or are they suppressing the tech or something?

There appars to be an agreed upon product rollout schedule which nobody violates. E.g. "Nobody launch a Lightfield living room TV before April 2026, and nobody price it under USD 3,000 for 55 inch size at 4K resolution when launch happens." The tech is only sold by little specialist tablet/monitor manufacturers like Leia right now. For business model reasons the BIG brands won't touch it yet. Then, suddenly, everybody will have a Lightfield or similar Hologram TV on the market at the same time and roughly the same price. Market stability? Profits? Consumer acceptance? Who really knows...

He even posted the U.S. Patent number for his 3D screen design. Apparently he tried to contact lots of companies which make consumer devices with screens in them and nobody replied to him. He was bemoaning "I worked really hard, solved it and now nobody wants to use it." I wish I could remember where that article was...

This part was WTF: Breen told a federal judge the Cairo-born financial analyst may have known about the terrorist attacks of September 2001; at Elgindy’s detention hearing, Breen speculated, “Perhaps Mr. Elgindy had pre-knowledge of the Sept. 11 attacks. Instead of trying to report it, he tried to profit from it.” On Sept. 10, Breen says Elgindy called his broker and tried to liquidate a $300,000 fund, because, he reportedly told the broker, the Dow Jones industrial average would soon collapse to 3000 points, at a time when it was 9000. Breen also said that in the months leading up to Sept. 11, Elgindy transferred $700,000 to Lebanon, where he owns a home.Elgindy’s attorneys deny any wrongdoing, and any connection to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Prosecutors and federal investigators have since dropped allegations linking Elgindy to Sept. 11. 1
