As far as needed to make people physically exhausted and confused to the point where they no longer know who to trust in this world. They will try to break our fighting spirit until we just give up and stop resisting.

 

AI will be the major weapon in their arsenal. It's only just beginning. Every new advancement is like a heartbeat, and once the beast is alive we are screwed.

It's already happening. No tomatoes in the shops.

 

Polycrisis, a multiple, simultaneous crisis so that you are always on alert, wears you out with stress hormones....everybody goes mental, hey hallelujah!

 

The best way to ride the tide is to have an attitude not to care because they don't.
