alexa
This article is deliberately trying to give the humble cow a bad name, I can see the future of the cow looking very bleak. Mother who 'loved being outside' is trampled to death by a herd of cows while walking her beloved cockapoo Kathy McKellar (left and right) had been staying in a holiday cottage near Grindleton in Lancashire last September with her beloved cockapoo Archie (right). On the afternoon of September 25, 2022 the pair went out for a walk and made their way towards Pine Wood through a series of fields farmed by David Towler. Ms MeKellar was found dead the next morning in a field being grazed by 25 Limousin cows with calves and a bull. John Turner, the owner of the holiday cottage, had com across cockapoo Archie, who had made his way back to the cottage. How can a women be so stupid as too get trampled on by a heard of cows ? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11720349/Mother-loved-outside-trampled-death-herd-cows.html
eddy64
taking a dog near a herd of cows is not a good idea, it could easily spook the animals. which is probably what happened.

In that situation, treat them like a herd of wild elephants and stay the f**k away! I’ve had plenty of Limousin cattle try to kill me just for stepping into their pen, it’s in their genes to protect their own.

A bit like humans
Campion
Obviously lots of sympathy for her family. I thought there was a law against putting bulls in fields with public footpaths in them, but maybe I'm out of date. Most female animals with their children will be very defensive too, I would try and avoid them, especially with a dog. I've had some scary times walking next to highland cattle (which have big horns) and getting into fields with bulls by accident. Bullocks can be scary too because they're quite inquisitive and run around in groups.
Fluke
I remember i was about 6 with my grandad in derby and our dog one night and we were surrounded by cows in a country road when we went back to the gate. I just remember green eyes looking at us. It was really freaky. There were at least 10 of them just staring at us. They can kill.
alexa
No need to bloody shoot them 'Threatening' feral cows in New Mexico will be gunned down by shooters in helicopters because they 'pose a significant threat to public safety' A helicopter with a shooter will fly over a portion of the vast Gila Wilderness in southwestern New Mexico next week, searching for feral cows to kill.
