Grumpy Owl Posted February 1 Share Posted February 1 I received a bit of a tip-off from a contact I have (who I'm not prepared to name or share more about), who inadvertently revealed to me that apparently the Conservative party are making preparations to call a General Election for later this year, sometime in October. To be honest, I've had a feeling that this has been on the cards for sometime, and I thought it might have happened around the spring. You can already see the smaller parties such as UKIP, Heritage Party, Reform etc have put themselves on a 'war-footing', and the media are already hard at work 'conditioning' the public into voting for Labour. Which they will do in numbers, at least those who can be bothered to go and vote. There's also been a lot of publicity about the requirement to present photo ID when voting in person. Funny you should mention this as there are stirrings that have been circulating for 2023 among the anons out there states side since the end of last year, and i have a feeling that will be reflected here as well, a bold prediction i shall accompany this tip off and say week 44 which is end of October and start of November, and to be quite honest none of the usual bandits currently in office will be around for re-election save a few, and you already know my feelings on that one, 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Whatever happens, we won't have a Conservative government. (One could of course argue that we haven't actually had a 'conservative' government for several years now) As history tends to repeat itself - yet not much changes - it will probably be another landslide Labour victory, as we saw with Tony Blair in 1997. Here's another one today: Eddie Hughes becomes latest Tory MP to announce his Black Country departure Quote Mr Hughes, who has represented Walsall North since 2017, said he is looking for a new home due to his seat being carved up under boundary changes. Under Conservative Party rules, MPs in constituencies that are being changed as part of the latest boundary review can apply to be classed as "displaced", meaning they are permitted to seek selection elsewhere. He is expected to put himself forward for candidacy in another constituency when the party announces its first set of seats on April 18. After all, for these narcissists, it is probably better to 'step down' beforehand, rather than face the embarrassment of an electoral trouncing at the ballot box.
