Communism used to be from the bottom up, a revolution of the working class proletariat rising up and taking over control of the government from the ruling class. 

 

Now it's the other way round, the governments and corporations have been infiltrated and are trying to control the working classes from the top down - the very top at the global level.

Ism's are never equal to their enactors. Something that is easy to forget but rather important. Of course morons get enchanted by unspecified movements but that does not mean anything by itself. We are dealing with a fundamental problem of organisation. No one knows the clear cut answer apart from stating 'Star Trek would be nice'. Of course we can do better then that even, but certain forces are in opposition.

 

What we do afterwards is a legitimate question though? Because resistance seems to cultivate spiritual development.

Good points, and I would say we need to get the "before" right if we're going to have a chance at a good "after". And spirituality is a good way in to it, one which builds a good foundation for life - family, local community and tribe; we need to repair those circles of relationships from the ground up and a strong religion can do it, if you find the right one. Instead of expecting "them" to fix things or "someone should do something about this problem".   Which is why communism hates community based religion which it can't control. Although I'm not a Christian, I'm a folkish Pagan, I have a lot of respect for our local churches which organise community support for families, disabled and elderly folks etc. When the big economy and government fails, that's a good place to look for support.
