There's a hell of a lot of BS in these weather-related 'news' articles. For starters, "nightmare from the north", wonder how long it took someone to think that one up! Then there's the BS about the UK being 'colder than the Antarctic'. In fact we have a yellow weather warning for snow across the South East too, but as it doesn't seem to be going below zero, I can't see it settling. It is actually very annoying the wind isn't it? Was doing its usual gusty thing then became a constant level and tone for about 30 seconds. Used to put up and feed a dozen homeless people at my church building between December and the end of February. Most of the men were Polish and said that our winters were worse than winters back home because of the wind. I was told that -30 in Krakow was more bearable than -5 in England. Yes, 'climate change' is the narrative being pushed, but 'dramatise' is a bit kind, I think you mean 'over-exaggerate' it.
