Winter is Coming, all hail the King of the North:

If there is still flooding too, could this literally create Ice Cubes/Glaciers?

There's a hell of a lot of BS in these weather-related 'news' articles. For starters, "nightmare from the north", wonder how long it took someone to think that one up!

Then there's the BS about the UK being 'colder than the Antarctic'. 🤪

England can expect -8C nights, with the -15C forecast in the Scottish Highlands from tomorrow night colder than the Antarctic’s Belgrano II research base. At 800 miles from the Pole, it is the closest coastal station to the globe’s southernmost point and its 19 scientists will see -12C lows.

So it's going to be -15C at night in some remote northern part of Britain, during the middle of winter.

This Antarctic research base is on the coast of Antarctica, where it is typically warmer than the rest of the continent, and of course it is now the middle of summer down there.

Sensationalist fear-mongering is all it is.

Don' disagree. In fact we have a yellow weather warning for snow across the South East too, but as it doesn't seem to be going below zero, I can't see it settling.

i dont care as long as the wind stops.

2 weeks of 20mph winds is fking me off

It's been annoying me as well very weird pulsating wind usually at night here in the south east. It is actually very annoying the wind isn't it? I can deal with rain because you know where you are with it but wind is annoying.

To be fair the media and the UK in general have always had an obsession with the weather. They always dramatise it however we know there are agendas at play with "climate change".

This morning about 3a.m the wind tone changed completely. Was doing its usual gusty thing then became a constant level and tone for about 30 seconds. Always windy where I am but this was weird.

Used to put up and feed a dozen homeless people at my church building between December and the end of February. Most of the men were Polish and said that our winters were worse than winters back home because of the wind.

I was told that -30 in Krakow was more bearable than -5 in England. They said that it didn't matter where they would bed down, there was no escape from the wind.

Yes, 'climate change' is the narrative being pushed, but 'dramatise' is a bit kind, I think you mean 'over-exaggerate' it.

See my thread here for examples:
