numnuts Posted December 31, 2022 Share Posted December 31, 2022 So, this Viktor Bout guy was supposed to be a serious threat to the lives of innocent Americans worldwide, yet the U.S. government thought it was ok to swap him with a WNBA basketball player? Yes, she got a 9 year sentence for trying to carry cannabis oil in to Russia, which was harsh, but she was guilty. What is more, I very much doubt that she didn't know what she was doing was illegal. She just didn't think she would get caught and probably didn't know what sort of sentence she might get, especially when it came to being used as a political football. Maybe the U.S. have got some work for Viktor to do?
