SkyBlueEyes Posted December 30, 2022 Share Posted December 30, 2022 HI I would like to suggest as the topic says a Real Time Chat room that is embedded in a page and pinned to forum Topic page so people can quickly find the page. This would give people an oppurtunity to debate topics to there hearts contents with out spoiling by going off topic and clogging up forum pages with semi to non-relevant stuff to the original topic post. After all this is a social site and as a New Memeber, I am not making demands but just pointing out what is laking as you do have at least 15 members logged at any given moment I am sure they would appreciate that real time interaction rather than some one liking there post or commenting back with a smiley every 20 mins or so... There are 100's of embedable chatroom widgets to choose from with chatango as my favourite as it is Free and easy to set up and has all the great stuff like embeddable youtube video's, visible pictures, url-linking, etc --> https://www.chatango.com/ Check around you may find better ones. But it is your site and i Leave the Idea in your court. Basically an option to comment on a thread without bumping the thread in the feed. As a forum im surprised its quite a slow forum tbh, i dont know why i expected far more rapid engagement - probably because topics discussed freely here are of interest to multi-millions globally. It would just become another distraction, and detract away from the whole purpose of having a structured discussion forum. If you want such a thing like that, then go join some Telegram group. You can embed chat box on every page but I am not suggesting that as just one will surfice but i am meaning popular thread can have a specfic chat embedded into the page to keep it seperated. The aim Is to keep the forum structed and not get distracted with off Topic comments, when you can keep the members Occupided discussing/chewing the fat/blowing off steam/happy.. in a flowing real time way... Use a real life situation such as this and put into practice, live by what you believe. Face the fear, face negativity and not run away. If you can't stand up to a member in a chatroom, you ain't doing it offline either and you say you are fighting the elites? Puleeze. We should be able to chat without getting into a piss taking session. Are we still in school where a teacher has to tell you to shut up? As much as I slag off religion, alexa and I can have a respectable conversation. Yes, people have different beliefs and opinions but it is us, individuals, who keep certain vibration and attracts it. It is irrelevant. As mods we would still have to remove dodgy posts etc. There is no way admin would allow any unchecked content to stand. Far too much risk of legal action. When members think they can say what they like with no risk of repercussions, will be the moment loads get banned or done such action.
