Rambo Posted February 22, 2023 Share Posted February 22, 2023 The author of that book himself said in a forum post that "theocratic bands" of the type you are worried about were destroyed sometime in the late 90s so you are probably fine even if the book WAS right in the 80s when he wrote it.
