i totally ignored xmas this year,no cards,no presents,no seeing family...mostly because i'm skint at the moment but have enjoyed relaxing and staying in bed last 2 days chilling out but looking forward to getting out and camping in the snow when it comes..the colder the better and sort these global warming fuckers out once and for all..

Bing bong, global warming fucker service, i'll just leave this here then, 🤣

Check out the dumest gov running a whole state, a country no less, i have a feeling that it's not gonna end well this xmas, for her at least.

I absolutely despise it, but I spent 180 minutes with a neighbor lacking friends, he spent around 100 pounds on me, I spent around 21 pounds on him. It turns out though that just showing up and spending anything on him made a difference. The few people he knew didn't show up or share anything making me automatically 10 steps up. . I would have liked to have spent more, he's all into brands and prestige, unlike me, but you know things aren't going well for anyone these days.. I couldn't splash out to impress him.

You've heard of the thought that counts? give those you know a thought that counts. I explained how my tat might help him, and he saw it. I was cringing at my effort but in the end it was taken as it was given, a positive change and a chance to build from.

I really hated facing him, with my tat shat from the back, and thinking this is all another man made ploy he's suckered into, but in the end genuine human interaction worked out alright. Happy new year.

I used to believe that Jesus was born in September, but now I know different.

Dean also talks about how the Christmas tree used to be called the 'Paradise Tree' & how the star we put on the top of our trees really represents the north star 'Polaris'.

I very much enjoy to eat the food I wouldn't usually eat at other times of the year.

For instance its the only time of year I can get a turkey roast dinner. I like the taste so look forward to the xmas day meat. And the other good stuff such as Christmas pudding.

The one thing that I despise about Christmas is the awful xmas pop songs that they play over and over. Ones I've heard since childhood. They've seriously over played the likes of slade, the pouges and wham cliff richards, it's like every radio station wants to ram them down your ear canals.

One of my favourites pagan mythologies about our Father Christmas image is that he's based on Lapland shamans and all this flying around on a magic sleigh with red & white colours comes from use of fly agaric mushrooms (also associated with witches and flying broomsticks).

That's mixed with Christian mythology of Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of children and marinated through Victorian era European civilisation and you get our contemporary Christmas. What's wrong with mixing up our mythologies, we've been doing it for thousands of years.

He does wear red and white though my mum took me to see him this year. Never seen him wearing anything else. Perhaps in his workshop.
